Sisterhood: Connecting Through Meaningful Conversations

by Laurie-ann Sheldrick

It is my mission to share my journey in the best way I know how, through honest story telling, and teaching everything I’ve learned up until this point (which is always evolving) and to hopefully be like a sister to you (a guide) to support you as you navigate your way through life. I am committed to giving you all the tools, practices, knowledge and experiences I have, while also admitted that I don’t have all the answers. Through this podcast, you will learn that you are not alone. I will show you how to experience mental, emotional, and spiritual freedom.

Episode 29: Trusting Your Gut Even When It Goes Against The Norm

21m · Published 14 Sep 14:21

In this episode, I'm sharing a story about how I took inspired action on a gut instinct I had, that went against the norm, and how great it has been working out. It can be so difficult to trust our instincts when the external world/people are telling us to do something differently. It is important to me to always share my experiences so no one ever has to feel alone.

Episode 26: A Conversation About Becoming a Life Coach & Connecting With Your Clients

1h 0m · Published 19 Aug 14:13

In this share, I’m talking about my experience of becoming a life coach, what it was like going through the certification process, and how I’ve connected with, grown and learned so much about coaching since starting my practice in 2012.

Coaching isn’t a trend. It is a privilege and a responsibility. People are opening up their hearts and minds, their fears and limiting beliefs, their challenges…their life. And don’t believe that should be trendy or taken advantage of.

I also share:

- Why it is important to let clients go when you know you cannot serve them and how to do it safely and in a supportive way.

- The importance of connecting with other coaches we specialize in areas that you don’t so that you can truly serve your clients.

- And how to separate your clients needs from your business goals, so that again your client is being served and supported.

- And so much more!

Episode 25: A Conversation About Body Acceptance and Normalizing The Changes Your Body Goes Through

53m · Published 11 Aug 17:43

We should have no shame, or be shamed for our body or how we look. Which is why I think normalizing talking about our bodies is so important. There is no one sized fits all.

In this episode, I am sharing a bit of my body image story and how it has transformed over the years - from my eating disorder in high school to now being in my forties.

For many of us, myself included, our relationship with our body is constantly changing. Which makes sense because our bodies are always changing. From adolescence to adulthood, we experience changes that are normal, but can often feeling confusing and creates emotional and mental discomfort because we believe that it is abnormal.

Whether you have gained weight, losing weight, getting older and entering a new decade, or just experiencing body changes where you are having to get to know, or get comfortable with your new body, this share is for anyone experiencing body changes, or wants to accept their body. Wherever you are on your body journey, I hope this will provide you with some relief that you are not alone.

1h 3m · Published 27 Jul 23:32

Caelin is a writer, editor and coach at her company Touchstone Copy. She helps paradigm-breaking entrepreneurs show up on paper like they do in real life, so they can change the way things are done. It is easy to get disconnected, which is why I wanted to talk to Caelin about how we can reconnect and what that looks and feels like.
