In this episode, Bridget and KeAnna interview Cherese Alcorn, a psychotherapist and mental health practitioner who shares her journey of healing through therapy. Cherese shares how through her journey of healing she realized that her trauma led her to a career in social work and service to others. Healing herself inspired her to help heal others, and more importantly all the versions of her little girl.

Cherese also spoke about how relinquishing control and finding the strength to rest has been helping her heal as well, and overcoming toxic societal norms regarding overworking and the grind lifestyle. Coining it “Rest is Revolutionary”.

Lex: Being As Much of Me As Possible

In this episode, Bridget and KeAnna interview Lex. Lex talked about their healing from sexual grooming, and how therapy and their partner are helping them to overcome the trauma and how they were able to get out of a relationship that began by them being groomed when they were a child. Love, acceptance, and grace allowed Lex to realize the inappropriate nature of their relationship and put them on a journey of healing. Now, Lex is sharing their story to raise awareness and save other young lives.

Lex is a proud and life long Daytonian, a queer WOC, working as a full time chemist and a part time DJ. Lex is married, has two dogs and enjoys spending time outside, playing board games and throwing axes. Sharing this experience is important to help others heal and know that they are not alone on this journey.

E.V. Rose: Advocating and Navigating the Medical System

On this episode, our guest E.V. Rose shares about how the treatment of her medical conditions caused emotional trauma. When healing from the physical wounds the psyche, we must question how our medical system is harming some of us. E.V.'s story sheds light on the ways in which the medical system, which is supposed to be an agent of healing, can become the traumatizer. She also shares how becoming an advocate for herself and others has given her agency and a voice.
