All About Relationships

COVID has impacted our lives in many ways and the impact that it has had on intimate relationships is overwhelming to say the least. Did COVID unveil mental health issues within your relationship that you never knew existed? Did you rely on social media so much so that it put a damper on intimacy? Did you begin to notice childhood trauma responses from your partner and recognized how this is impacting healthy communication? Listen in as we discuss these factors and move forward towards growth and healing. 

Racial Trauma, historical trauma, intergenerational trauma, accountability, being a black man in America, mothers raising black boys, gangs as revolutionaries; what does all of this have to do with community trauma? What are those on the frontlines of this fight have to say? 

We all have been impacted by the weight, pain, and anxieties that come from living in and through community trauma. Communities live with being misdiagnosed and misunderstood without anyone knowing their story and their experience. Join me, Amar X, Aniyah Vines, Ci'kiethia Peebles and Alyica-Benjamin Peebles, a few of the most influential young revolutionaries of our time and take this journey with us as we dive deeper into this topic and look through the lens of experience, pain and hope.

When you have experienced childhood trauma there are lots of why's that can span into adulthood. Childhood trauma can show up in the things that you say, in the things that you do, how you treat others and most importantly how you treat yourself. Join me and a part of my village as we share our knowledge and discuss the unique process of healing related to the impact of childhood trauma. Although this kind of trauma can bleed into adulthood, there is hope knowing that it is never to late to gain internal clarity and to be restored.
