In this week's episode of AlternateScapes Ty & Dayle took a closer look at the role that social media plays in our lives and the impact it has on our psych & relationships with ourselves and others.

The World Health Organization estimates that about 5 million deaths per year are caused by trauma and intentional and unintentional injuries. Almost 9 out of 10 (90%) of these injury-related deaths occur in low and middle-income countries (LMICs), one of which is South Africa.

It's an important topic that should be discussed more. We should not feel that it is our trauma that defines us. We should rather feel that these experiences we encounter in life aid us in becoming stronger and more resilient. At our core, we are all magical miracles. And so we shall always be.
