Hotdish Episode 24: Larry Juhl says, "I was always fascinated with farming"
25m · PublishedIn this episode Vicki interviews Larry Juhl of Juhl Acres Farm near Lonsdale, Minnesota.
Hello and welcome to Hotdish the Just Food Co-op Community Podcast.
Our goal is to facilitate an open line of communication about your food, where that food comes from, and how it is being used to nourish our town and its members.
///////
From the Juhl Acres Website:
We hay our eighteen acres of pesticide free land and sell the hay to local horse enthusiasts. We are proud of our fourteen hens that lay for us beautiful brown and green organic eggs which are sold at the local C-store and to friends. We grow organic produce in our greenhouse and hope to begin selling produce at local famers markets in Minnesota.
Note: In this recording we discuss the fact that they do not currently have a website. That has changed.
Larry runs the farm with is wife, Theresa. Both are pilots and horse lovers.
