Ep 54: When You Don't Feel Like Yourself

22m · Published 05 Jul 11:59

Most of us have a seriously hard time loving and valuing ourselves if we don't feel productive. We tie our worth and lovability to how much we accomplish in a day, a week, a year.

So in this episode, I invite you into my inner world this week while I'm recovering from Covid. I was on a forced rest - and my brain was having a fit!

I didn't feel like myself. I questioned my worth. I even questioned if anything I ever did was any good - from parenting to coaching - my brain catastrophized everything this week.

Tune in to learn the 2 most important questions I asked to help me connect with myself again.

Ep 53: Expansive Growth For Year 2 Of Joyful Love

22m · Published 14 Jun 09:44
As I move into year two of the Joyful Love Podcast, I’ll dive even deeper into some of the concepts I’ve just scratched the surface on so far.

The truth is that our health, energy, and our ability to slow down affects everything we do in life. They affect our relationships and our well-being. They affect our nervous system and our mental health.

Humans are made up of mind, body, and soul. And I don’t believe I can speak on one of these, without including the others.

So this year, I’ll dive deep into all three - Mind, Body, and Soul.

I’m expanding - I’m opening the box WIDE!

Check out today’s episode to hear how I'm changing things up in my coaching and this podcast.

Ep 51: Drop Perfection and Ask For What You Want

31m · Published 31 May 09:19
What do we want? Rest.

When do we want it? Now.

How do we get it? Well, it's simple, we have to stop thinking everything needs to be done before we're allowed to rest.

We have to stop the deep-seeded belief that everything around us needs to be done better and/or perfect.

And we need to stop people-pleasing those around us to the point of feeling resentful about it.

In today's episode, I talk about some of the reasons why it's easier to do things by yourself, rather than asking for help - and what to do about it.

Ep 50: Pull Over The Car, A Lesson From My Teen

13m · Published 24 May 08:00

Our emotions are here for a reason. They teach us. They give us important information. They shine a flashlight on what we need to change.

And yet, they get brushed aside or buried so that we can quickly move on to the next important task.

We tell ourselves, “I’m just being too sensitive.” Yet when we do this, we miss important lessons. We miss an opportunity to listen to our souls.

So when my 16-year-old son shared a story with me of how he stopped to process an emotion, I knew I wanted to share it with you.

If you find yourself rushing through stress - or ignoring irritation and frustration - or brushing any other feeling aside, this episode is for you.
