We have a bonus episode for you with West End Frame Award winner, Carolyn Maitland!

Carolyn is currently playing Rebecca in Stephen Schwartz’s musical Rags at the Park Theatre. This production comes to London with a brand new cast, following its run at the Hope Mill Theatre in Manchester.

In 2014, Carolyn won West End Frame’s Understudy of the Year Award for understudying the role of Ellen in the West End production of Miss Saigon. Since leaving Miss Saigon, she has gone on to play many leading roles including; Kathy Selden in Singin' In The Rain (Kilworth House), Sally Bowles in Cabaret (Aberdeen), Molly in Ghost The Musical (UK Tour) and Marian in The Woman in White (Charing Cross Theatre). Carolyn also returned to Miss Saigon to play Ellen full-time and most recently played Grace Farrell in Annie (Toronto/UK Tour).

Carolyn’s extensive theatre credits also include; understudy Kate/Lilli in Kiss Me Kate (Chichester/The Old Vic), understudy Rita in Groundhog Day (The Old Vic), understudy Karen in From Here To Eternity (Shaftesbury), understudy Vivienne & Serena in Legally Blonde (Savoy), understudy Mabel, Serena & Miss Bell in Fame (UK Tour), understudy Gabriela & Taylor in High School Musical 2 (UK Tour), understudy Lucy in Jekyll & Hyde (UK Tour) and Mamma Mia! (International Tour).

In this episode Carolyn discusses all-things Rags, her work ethic, working her way up to becoming a leading lady and her path into the industry.

Rags runs at the Park Theatre between Thursday 9th January and Saturday 8th February 2020.

Lizzie has had a whirlwind year; whilst playing Pat in the UK tour of Kinky Boots she took two hiatus' from the show to star as Abigail Henson in the final New York workshop of new musical Becoming Nancy, followed by its world premiere at the Alliance Theatre in Atlanta.

She also found time to audition for the 2020 West End revival of Hairspray at the London Coliseum and landed the role of Tracy Turnblad which she will play alongside Michael Ball who is reprising his celebrated performance as Edna.

Lizzie's theatre credits also include: Fat Friends The Musical (UK Tour), Dino Story & Chicken Little (From Page To Stage Festival), The 3 Little Pigs (Australian & UK Tours/West End) and The Other School (National Youth Music Theatre).

In this fun, honest & inspiring interview, Lizzie discusses her path into the industry, what it has been like to be part of Becoming Nancy since its very first workshop, why Kinky Boots was a dream job plus the rigorous audition process for Hairspray. For the past two years Robert Colvin has been touring the US as the Standby for Elder Price in The Book of Mormon.

Prior to The Book of Mormon, Rob played Robbie in the UK tour of Dirty Dancing, eventually becoming the Standby for Johnny. His other credits include: Warner in Legally Blonde (Opéra Garnier, Monaco/Upstairs at the Gatehouse), Jimmy in Thoroughly Modern Millie (Adelphi Theatre), Danny in Grease (Belinda King) and Joseph and The Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat (UK tour).

He has since taken over as Elder Price in the UK & European Tour of The Book of Mormon.

In 2010, Danielle won Andrew Lloyd Webber’s reality show Over The Rainbow, landing the part of Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz at the London Palladium. Her credits also include Eponine in Les Misérables, Maria in The Sound of Music, The Narrator in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Sherrie in Rock of Ages, Sandy in Grease, Cathy in The Last Five Years and last Christmas she returned to the London Palladium to take on the title role in Snow White.
