2018's Possum, written and directed by Matthew Holness is one of John's favourite films, let alone horror films. Tune in for 90 minutes of him gushing to Nyxx about why this film is so good, whilst simultaneously being an horrifically awful viewing experience.

No we're not, and neither is the conceit of this film, so this opening bit by me really makes no sense.

What does make sense is this absolute horror icon being just about as flawless as a found footage horror film can be! And for the lazy among us, it's even more scary because *gasp!* SUBTITLES! That's right, this Spanish horror darling is Crafting Chill's first foreign language film, and what a gem to lead the way!

Found Footage. Haunted Asylum. This film writes itself, which is ironic, because the nature of reality tv is that it's supposed to not be scripted!

We just watched Grave Encounters and spend the majority of this episode talking about the medium of found-footage, what themes GE presents (if any) and where a film like this sits within some sort of ranking scale.

Spooky happenings in this not The Thing homage to The Thing

A movie so creepy it (maybe?) has two titles. Known as both Black Mountain, sometimes with the suffix of 'side', BMS is a low-budget indie movie about The Thing if it had more native spirituality within its frigid landscape.

Coming out you with one of the best original horror concepts out there. 30 Days of Night is a premise so straightforward yet so brilliant you'll slap your head like Hank Scorpio when the concept of hammocks was presented to him.

This vicious cult-classic vampire romp is a favourite of Nyxx and a new watch for John.
