Wild Women Wild Soul Podcast with Morgan Ruff

by Morgan Ruff

Wild Women Wild Soul is a podcast for you - the woman who feels lost and lonely in the wilderness of life. Who has lost touch with her own wild soul and wants it back. This podcast is a conversation about pursuing the life you want. Living from a place of feeling good and abundance, connection to the earth and each other, and creating the type of world we want our children and future generations to live in. I believe social change must begin with the inner work. This can be a challenging path to walk alone. I hope the ideas shared here support you in taking the next step on the trail.

EP 37: Interview With Sarah Maurer

58m · Published 09 Dec 21:18

I'm so excited to share my interview with Sarah Mauer.  Sarah is a magical human that I've been so honored to work with in my capacity as a coach and also to call her a friend.

Sarah bravely stepped into creating a future for her birth of her second child that felt more empowered and centered on how she wanted to feel. For so many of us the experience of childbirth is something that we are asked to just grit our teeth and bear. We are told, it's gonna feel like a train ran over you, so you should just get ready. But does it really need to be that way? Is there a more empowering way we can approach this experience? What holds us back from this?

After a challenging birth from her first child, Sarah was committed to creating a different experience for the birth of her second. But to do this, she knew she needed to look at her past, process the trauma, and set intentions for a new experience.

I was honored to support Sarah in this journey, supporting her to really step into her power and a woman, uncover her voice, and create the reality she craved.

Can you relate to this? Maybe your experience is not childbirth...but where do you need to step into your own power?

As always, thank you all so much for listening.

EP 36: Creative Destruction

20m · Published 03 Dec 01:30

Hello my friends!

In today's episode of the Wild Women Wild Soul Podcast, I dive into the idea of creative destruction.

You might have heard this term from me before as it relates to the overall flow of the seasons - Gestation (winter), Birth (spring), maturity (summer), Creative destruction (fall) .

I find comfort and meaning when I connect to the cycle of nature and the season and creative destruction is one of my favorite subjects, probably because we are often so uncomfortable with the ideas of death, loss, destruction in a society that loves the energies of spring and summer.

Here we're thinking about creative destruction has the annual course of nature as we move through the Autumn season.

It happens all around us & is a remarkable transition to experience and embody. The leaves change, they fall, our environment begins to destroy all that it grew through the spring and summer.

But WHY? What is the reason behind this destruction? In ridding itself of the old, there is so much more room for the new. In nature it just happens. For us in life there is so much attachment to the old, the fruits we have grown, we often find this process uncomfortable.

How are you allowing creative destruction to create a clearing for new growth to begin?

EP 33: 5 Mindset Stories I had to Master to Make it to Alaska

23m · Published 12 Aug 00:50

Hey there friends!

In this episode of the Wild Women Wild Soul podcast, I deep dive into the mindset stories I had to overcome in order to act on my dream trip.

1 - Imposter syndrome to show up as a guide to my 3 brave friends.

2 - Future tripping wilderness catastrophes

3 - Releasing outcomes and the experience for others (other people will have their own experience and it's ok if they don't like it)

4 - Mom guilt and feeling so selfish!!!!

5- The need to be air traffic control for my family while I am gone.

Come along with me in this episode to hear all about how I found my way through these blocks & made my dream trip to Alaska happen! The real lessons are not in the final destination, they are in the journey to get there.

A Summer of Bear Energy

22m · Published 21 Jul 14:50
There are some animals that show up for me frequently. Bears are one of them. Though I haven't had many in person sightings recently, I've begun to notice how often the bear shows up in meditation and self reflection. I got curious about what it might be meaning and saying to me right now. This episode I explore that bear energy and all that it brings.

EP 31: An Unlikely Companion

14m · Published 09 Jun 19:43

Hello friends!

In this episode of the podcast we're talking about unlikely friendships and finding support where you least expect it. We had a big loss in our family this week & had to say goodbye to our beloved bearded dragon Pickle Petunia. She became an unexpected rock to my family during this pandemic. She was the friend and companion we didn't know we needed, she never asked for anything, & always supported us when we needed it.

This lesson is one that we can take with us always to our human friendships along the way. You can't ask of someone something they are unable to give, and expecting as such will lead to disappointment for all.

This one is for you Pickle Petunia. We love you!
