Real talk? We are human with a plethora of heavy emotions.  A student once told me that his first time in yin was the "longest time I've ever spent with myself.” Sometimes, our mindfulness, meditation, or yoga practices bring up difficult emotions or thoughts that are hard to process.  We must not beat ourselves up when we get frustrated, sad, or angry, but instead find ways to welcome these emotions with kindness.  We must be kind to ourselves to nurture and heal.  Tune in and breathe with me as together we figure it out! Happy Monday! As we welcome a new week, treat yo'self to a relaxing, yoga nidra session.  What is it? A guided body-scan meditation that is practiced while laying down (I swear: that's it).  Think "yogic sleep".  Some of the benefits of yoga nidra: reducing insomnia and anxiety and feeling more rested.  Tune in, let go, and cultivate those chill, restful vibes. Just promise me you won't fall asleep! But if you do, that's okay... that means you're doing it right. Namaste, friends. -SjW

30 Minutes to Reset - A Mid-Day Stretch & Breather

Get off that couch. Get up outta that chair. Even though it's tempting to be in our jammies all day, it's still so important to remember to get up and move! Take a break. Let's reset together through a standing flow of stretches (super modified version of Sun Salutation A) and breathing. Ground down, grow tall, breathe deep, and get your body up and moving. Here's 30 minutes to re-energize and stretch all your ish out. -SjW
