Teams that will shape the Draft: QB needy teams outside top ten + top ten teams we can't figure out

58m · Published 23 Apr 21:11

We have officially entered 'silly season' of NFL Draft week where rumors are rampant and everything must be taken with a grain of salt. Fear not, Matt Harmon and Fantasy Pro's Thor Nystrom are here to cut through the smoke. Concluding our 'teams that will shape the Draft' series, the two look at the QB needy teams outside the top ten - Minnesota, Denver, Las Vegas - as well as teams inside the top ten that could be wild cards - New York Giants, Tennessee Titans and New York Jets.

To start the show, Harmon and Nystrom dive into the Minnesota Vikings and what possibilities exist for them to jump in the draft to take JJ McCarthy or Drake Maye. The duo looks at how the top QBs could fit in Kevin O'Connell's offense and Justin Jefferson.

The two then try to make sense of the Denver Broncos after they acquired Zach Wilson from the New York Jets in a trade. Given that Denver might have the worst QB room in the league, the duo try to figure out which rookie QB is the most realistic option and best fit for Sean Payton's scheme. The two discuss Bo Nix's potential in Denver and if they can trade down and still acquire the Oregon QB later in the draft.

Harmon and Nystrom have a similar conversation about the Las Vegas Raiders QB room and if they could be a dark horse team to trade up for QB. After the break the two try to predict what the New York Giants, New York Jets and Tennessee Titans do with their top ten picks.

1:20 - Programming note: Yahoo Sports is going BIG for Draft Week coverage

3:40 - Minnesota Vikings: Do they have the ammunition to land JJ McCarthy or Drake Maye?

22:25 - Denver Broncos: What are they doing? Who are they? Are they really that bad?

35:50 - Las Vegas Raiders: Are they a dark horse to trade up for a QB?

39:15 - New York Giants: Do they take a top WR or swing for a QB?

46:30 - New York Jets: Rome Odunze, Brock Bowers or OL?

50:27 - Tennessee Titans: What's the best move to help Will Levis in this new look offense?

Draft Deep Dive: TEs + Top OL prospects + Best fantasy fits for Brock Bowers

1h 13m · Published 18 Apr 23:53

We are just one week away from all the projections, rumors and lies from being put to rest. The Draft is almost there. We put a bow on our 'Draft Deep Dive' series with Yahoo's draft guru Charles McDonald by looking at the top TE and OL prospects in this year's draft.

Of course we can't begin anywhere else than looking at Georgia TE Brock Bowers and what type of impact he could make instantly in the NFL. McDonald and Harmon dive into what makes him a unique talent at the TE position and worthy of being a top ten pick.

McDonald, a Georgia fan, recaps his illustrious career in Athens and what team fits could get the most out of him at the next level. Harmon wonders if some teams won't know how to use him and if that could lead to him sliding out of the top ten in the draft.

The duo then look at day two TEs that could develop into starters in the NFL. After the break Harmon and McDonald look at the top ten OL prospects list from Nate Tice and dissect what makes each a first round talent. Harmon and McDonald agree that the OL position might be the deepest in top tier talent of any position this year.

1h 14m · Published 04 Apr 21:00

Matt Harmon and Charles McDonald their 'Draft Deep Dive' series by taking a look at arguably the most loaded position in this year's draft: The wide receivers. Given how many notable prospects are in this class we decided to break the position series into two parts. Part one looks at most of the prospects that will likely go in the first two days of the draft.

But before diving into this year's WR class the two react to one of the biggest WR moves of the offseason, as the Buffalo Bills traded Stefon Diggs to the Houston Texans in exchange for a 2024 2nd round pick. Both believe the Bills could get aggressive early in the draft to try and land one of the top WR prospects.

Speaking of those WR prospects, Harmon reveals the 8 guys he's studied the most heading into the draft. Teams that will shape the Draft: Could Cards, Chargers, Falcons trade picks with QB needy teams?

1h 4m · Published 02 Apr 23:32

We continue our 'Teams that will shape the Draft' series by looking at three teams - Cardinals, Chargers, Falcons- in the top 10 who have a settled QB situation, but could play a major role in potentially trading with other teams who could be looking for a rookie QB early. The Athletic's Robert Mays joins Matt Harmon to breakdown how these teams can best leverage their unique situations.

Harmon and Mays first look at the Arizona Cardinals who hold the No. 4 pick in the draft as well as ten other picks in the draft. The duo debate if it makes sense for the Cardinals to stay at four and take the best WR prospect available or if they could still grab one if they trade down. The two discuss if the Cardinals are one good draft away from being a contender in the NFC.

The two then discuss the Los Angeles Chargers who hold the No. 5 pick and eight other picks. Harmon and Mays discuss if we should buy into Jim Harbaugh's comments about the importance of the offensive line. The two then debate if the Chargers should embrace a full rebuild given the state of their roster. Mays also wonders what the trade market and value would be for the No. 5 pick if the top four picks are QB.

To end the show the two look at the Atlanta Falcons and what they need to do with the No. 8 pick now that they have Kirk Cousins as their QB in 2024. The two agree the path to contention in the NFC for the Falcons is real. Harmon is over the moon about Drake London's potential in 2024. Mays ponders if a team built the way the Falcons are can actually win a Super Bowl.

2:50 - Teams that shape the Draft: Teams in top 10 who don't need a QB

4:00 - Arizona Cardinals: Stay at No. 4 and take a WR or trade back?

22:55 - L.A. Chargers: Does this team need to accept they're in a full rebuild? + What's trade market for No. 5 pick?

44:30 - Atlanta Falcons: Time to invest in defense? + Are they ready to contend?
