Today's reminder ionvolves increemental improvement utilizing the Kaizen Technique. A recent visit to a hospital room managed to trigger a move toward health and personal commitment.

Regardless of your age, beginning today begin each day on the floor stretching your aging body. Don't laugh. Don't procrastinate. Just do it. You can thank me twenty years from now as you lie peacefully in your own bed.

Keep Your Emails Short & Sweet.

6m · Published 21 Sep 15:33

Today I will be sharing two suggestions brought to light this week. One deals with better communication while the other focuses on the mental aspect of your business.

INC Magazine reported in an article this week that the response rate for shorter emails is nearly double that of longer worded emails. This makes sense since therre is so much "noise" out there today, people are quick to hit the delte button. Less is more. Shorter is better.

The second example comes from the Colorado Buffalo's newly reenergized football team. They are bouncing back from ten years of losing to a current record of 3-0. Much of the credit here goes with the fact that they now "believe" in themselves. Belief worked for the NT Mets back in 1973 and it is working for the Buffs in 2023.

And, I might add, it will work for you once you start believing in your value and contribution to your personal marketplace.

Practicing What I Preach

7m · Published 14 Sep 13:00

This week's episode shares an experience Mike had while collecting his brother's mail while on vacation. He came across a non-travel industry trade magazine and flipped to a marketing article written for building contractors.

If your business has anything to do with people, your success will largely be determined by your fundamental and basic people skills. Take a moment to listen to today's episode, and you will soon see, regardless of your industry, your path to the top just may be easier than you are currently making it.

Fundamentals

6m · Published 08 Sep 19:23

In preparing for an upcoming presentation, I am trying to decide if brand new material will prove to be appreciated more than tried and true business-building fundamentals. I came to the conclusion that fresh material for the sole purpose of "new" would not be in my audiences' best interest.

The basics and fundamentals will always be responsible for positive results. This is true in sport as it is in business. I think you will enjoy today's reminder. You be the judge.

Nancy Friedman

7m · Published 31 Aug 13:00

Today's reminders come thanks to a recent interview I had with The Telephone Doctor ... Nancy Friedman. She is one in a million and gave up an hour of her vacation time in The Keys to meet with the members of The Inner Circle. What a gift.

Erasing the word "no" from your vocabulary, taking the time to write NUM notes and "double checking" are three keepers from last week's interview.

Communication Is The Magic Pill

4m · Published 24 Aug 04:00

The long and the short of this week's message, reminder, lesson and/or episode can be compared to another blinding flash of the obvious. I have nothing NEW to share with you this week, but today's post is as important as any.

Silence, or lack of updated client communication, opens the door for misinterpretation, fear and negative feelings which simply does not have to happen. As customers, we all like to be kept in the loop with the feeling that our business, (as meager as it may be,) is important to the seller. When you stop to think about it, it really is not that difficult.

Here are three examples of my own which help deliver today's message. I am sure they will conjure up a number of personal stories of your own.

Follow Up: The Secret Ingredient

6m · Published 18 Aug 14:50

On two occasions this week, I was reminded of the importance of follow-up.

My first example came from my having to order a new cell phone case and a sincere thank you card that accompanied the package.

My second example came from a Eye Doctor who made time to follow-up with her patient (my wife) after what I considered to be a very busy day in surgery and a long list of follow-up phone calls.

I know better than most how busy you are, and how many excuses come to mind when it comes time to follow up on your customers and clients. Take a listen to this weeks episode, and I hope your creativity will become stimulated as you move forward and will find the time and make the time to follow up appropriately.

You will be glad you did.

The Little Wonders Playbook

8m · Published 11 Aug 16:22

I do not normally make it a habit to recommend books that I have read to my audience unless I really feel it will do them some good. With this in mind, I recently read a book about personal change, titled the little wonders playbook without hesitation, I recommend this book to whom ever is seriously interested in making slight changes in their life for the better.

In today's episode, I will highlight 4 areas of the book that caught my immediate attention in which I am personally working on as I record this podcast. Do yourself a favor, and check out www.littlewondersbook.com

The Author is Angie DeGeronimo and she happens to be the real deal.
