Marketing and touch points are at the backbone of her business and their team. “Even though they (clients) might not spend two seconds looking at that postcard,” she says, they’ll know that she is consistently working and ready for them. “You really have to be alive in your community.”

The latter piece leads to a few words of wisdom, as he dives into why he considers new builds his specialty to make the transaction more feasible for customers.

Encore Episode: Innovation Is Bred by Necessity - Feat. Hector Suppici | Real Voices Podcast

19m · Published 24 May 12:00
Today, we speak with Hector Suppici, a licensed REALTOR® at HomeSmart and home inspector at Regal Choice.

In this episode, our guest discusses his career path from humble beginnings in building houses and general construction - before finally landing in the field of home inspections. After 30 years of honing his skills, he decided to start his own business specializing in home inspections. Suppici talks about what sets him apart from competitors when it comes to talent and industry know-how.

“You don’t have to know much about houses to study to become a home inspector...after about a year you can go get your license. But, having years of construction experience makes the whole difference: you decide - do you want a [former] chef to inspect your home? Or do you want a construction guy to inspect your home?” Suppici posited.

He then segues into other perks of his expertise such as his background in reality that he offers as a free service when choosing him as a home inspector. Suppici describes the breadth of his service model as being a one-stop-shop without hidden fee structures. Also, in this episode, he provides a snapshot of his upbringing in Uruguay - growing up amongst a rich culture, within a military family. He touches on how that experience shaped the trajectory of his career and his intentions in the industry.

“I want to serve my community - I really identify with the people I grew up with. So, I know there is a need for agents that can speak both Spanish and English, preferably well, and can translate important documents," Suppici explains.

Encore Episode: Paying Your Way - Feat. Norma Millett | Real Voices Podcast

19m · Published 17 May 11:00

Today, we speak with Norma Millett, licensed REALTOR® at HomeSmart.

In this episode, our guest discusses what motivated her to get into real estate, considering the dynamics experienced during her upbringing. After moving to California from Mexico, Millett recalls that her parents never owned a home and always relied on renting. Perturbed by what she considered a poor way to allocate funds and resources, she became increasingly interested in the real estate industry. And over time, during conversations, she found herself doling out advice and information about the field without even having a license. That is when she knew it was time to take action, acquire a license and assist potential buyers in the community.

“My drive in real estate is helping people get what they don’t know they can have. It’s cool to see the end result in handing over a key and saying ‘here’s your home,” Millett explained.

From there, she delves further into influences and role models that set an example in an impactful way. Millett credits her late mother for being a primary inspiration in all aspects of her life. From encouraging words to a helping hand, she recalls always being able to count on her mother.

"Everyone was blessed by her, everyone loved her. She’s always been my role model - if I ever had challenges, I'd always think ‘what would my mom do?” Millett expressed.
