Encore Episode: A Longer-Term Relationship - Feat. Woody Livingston | Real Voices Podcast

31m · Published 26 Apr 12:00

In this episode of Real Voices Podcast, we talk with Woody Livingston, REALTOR®.

A real estate agent for nearly two years, Woody Livingston is familiar with real estate as his previous career was in home inspections and even franchising for that industry.

“That’s where I’ve been finding my clients, people I know, people that I meet,” he says. “Especially now working with buyers when it takes so much to really find a house for most people...you get to know ‘em and get to love ‘em and they become dear friends.”

“Trying to help people understand now — again because you care about them — there’s a lot of forces in play {regarding purchasing in the current market}. Interest rates are really low...there’s tons of demand for housing...you probably ought to think about doing it, make sure you’re in the place you want to be for the next X amount of time.”

Encore Episode: Focusing on Success - Feat. Larry Feiner | Real Voices Podcast

22m · Published 19 Apr 11:00

Today, we talk to REALTOR®, Larry Feiner. In this episode, Feiner describes the pathway that led him to the real estate business and how his upbringing was one of the biggest influences in his journey. He covers a few common misconceptions about the industry – especially the perception that it’s all fun and no work!

“When people see me travel, they think ‘he barely works, he makes a ton of money and travels every weekend!” said Fenier.

He discusses his motivations and how he developed a strong work ethic from watching others who spent multiple decades working for one company. He talks about how challenges and common stressors can be used as a benefit, instead of a hindrance when it comes to workflow and productivity as an agent.

“If you enjoy your work and thrive on it, stress can be a positive motivating factor.” he stated.

Encore Episode: Discipline Equals Success - Feat. Samantha Nguyen | Real Voices Podcast

27m · Published 12 Apr 11:00
Today, we speak with Samantha Nguyen, REALTOR® at HomeSmart.

In this episode, we focus on passions and motivations, particularly when it comes to picking the right path in life. Our guest credits an innate knowledge of what her ‘true calling’ was, which drove her to acquire a real estate license. Now, with 16 years of experience, Nguyen gives a few words of wisdom to those who are trying to figure out where they’re headed.

“The most important thing in life or your job is purpose. You have to have purpose and integrity in what you do – that will always make you strive and be successful,” Nguyen expressed.

But even if the spark is there – when it comes to business, there is little progress without diligence and follow-through. As we continue the conversation, Nguyen provides a few words of advice about how to demonstrate discipline in and outside of the workplace. And with that in mind, she explains that once you have a strong work ethic – success will follow – and once you reach your goals, it's essential to be appreciative.

“When you learn to work for everything that you have, you value it. And when you value, you tend to realize that you’re blessed for the things that you have,” she stated.

Encore Episode: Creating a Legacy - Feat. Tina Valiant | Real Voices Podcast

28m · Published 05 Apr 12:00
Today, we speak with REALTOR® and Coach, Tina Valiant.

In this episode, our guest discusses her past as a homemaker and wife and goes into the multitude of reasons she wanted to make a change. Primarily, she was inspired to leap into a new industry to create a legacy for herself and her family. This idea to pursue real estate came at a pinnacle time: while in the midst of an unfulfilling marriage and major health issues.

“[While in the hospital] I remember looking at my daughters and thinking ‘I haven’t created enough memories.’ If I don’t make it out of here, they’re not going to remember me at all. In that defining moment, I realized I had to make a change.” Valiant recalls.

After that wake-up call, she decided it was time to rewrite the trajectory of her life. Now, with 21 years of real estate experience under her belt, Valiant is dedicated to helping other women successfully navigate the business world through coaching. She emphasizes the importance of going for your dreams despite what others may think, and how tenacity always pays off.

“I didn’t have the look, the knowledge or anything people thought would succeed. But what they underestimated is my determination,” stated Valiant.
