We’ve learned so much in recent years that not everyone has the same circumstances, opportunities, or physical/mental abilities to work at the same pace. We’ve tried to shift our online biz messaging to remove any mention of a certain pace or amount of money being deemed as “good.”

What matters is that YOU define the pace and the amount of money/work that YOU can do that’s right for YOUR life.

There are so many external pressures to be more productive but maybe we’re not realizing our human-ness isn’t meant to be so productive? Maybe it’s okay to work a bit less, spend more time away from our businesses, and enjoy life without feeling guilty? Maybe it’s okay if our pursuits (esp biz ones) take wayyyy longer to get to our personal milestones we set based on our specific individual circumstances?

This week, we’re sharing our experiences about moving from client-based businesses to running digital products (or really anything non-client biz related). The BIGGEST point we want to hit home is that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to moving away from clients.

It might take you a year, and that’s okay.

You might need to save up 6-months savings to feel comfortable, and that’s okay.

There might be clients you want to keep and it’s not actually a full transition away from clients, and that’s okay too!

We’ll share helpful tips we’ve learned and hope they can help you if you’re currently stuck at this point in your biz journey.

The past 3 weeks haven’t been a perfect dry-run of our full-time travel adventures we’re embarking on, but they showed us a handful of lessons we wanted to share here on the pod.

We discovered a way we hope to avoid being slapped in the face with plug-in air fresheners. We learned that someone 👩🏻‍🦰 has to sleep on a particular side of the bed. This week, we wanted to share some of the absurd things we consistently do to inject fun into our businesses (and lives). From having silly acronyms for everything, like PEWT, BASSSF, JICLI, etc. To embracing characters and themes, like Iggy the Idea Monster (Teachery) and Hoggy the Hedgehog (Un-Boring Coaching). To having random dance parties or jumping around like a goofball in the middle of a meeting.

We are always trying to break up the monotony of life and work by allowing ourselves to have a childlike mindset. We love having a YES, AND! mentality and it’s served us well for many years.

We share why we think starting your launch PLANNING 90 days in advance is a must-do and we break down the specific steps we take for all our content channels: Email, Social Media (IG), Podcast, YouTube, etc.

One of the biggest things we want you to take away from this episode is giving yourself MORE TIME to get ready before you open the doors for someone to buy your product. You want to lead with 4-8 weeks of value-packed content across all platforms (that work for you!) and build as much trust as possible before you ask someone to buy from you.
