Just because you’ve done something in the past with your business doesn’t mean it has to be a hard and fast “rule” forever. We should embrace working less hours, doing fewer things, and striving for enough instead of more.

This week, we shared a bunch of thoughts around having to be consistent or over-stuffing our products and services with too many things, and instead, to actually talk to our customers and find what’s valuable to THEM.

If you’ve been feeling disillusioned with social media, you are not alone. We are on a 6-month break from using Instagram for our WAIM biz and it’s felt soooo freeing to us. We want you to feel that freedom as well by taking a good, hard look at WHY you use these platforms and WHAT tangible data you can get that tells you they are necessary (we do understand for some folks, social media isn’t evil and is very helpful).

It’s so easy to get swept up in all the sales tactics. The manipulative wording, the guilt-tripping, the urgency, the scarcity, and so many of those things happen without even realizing it because we’re following the advice of someone else. Our goal this week is to show you some options that can feel more congruent with who you are at your core.

When it comes to selling, we take a lot of pride in being as truthful as possible and only making promises we know we can keep. No false guarantees and no pie-in-the-sky dream selling around here (anymore).

For us, selling has become so much easier when we’ve created more real and honest connections with our audience. When we’ve leaned into building long-term trust and stopped chasing the short-term dollars. We hope you can walk away from this episode feeling empowered and like you can sell in a way that feels GOOD to you.

Productivity is such a loaded word. For a long time it was just used synonymously with working. But we have a different definition. To be “productive” doesn’t just necessarily mean working. It means doing what you intend to do.

If you intend to rest and you rest, you’re productive. If you intend to write a newsletter and you write it, or you plan it, or you name the Google Doc so you can sit down and write it next time...hey I think that’s productive too.

A lot of productivity advice assumes that we all get things done in the same way, which couldn’t be further from the truth. We all have different brains, different preferences. Some of us prefer a very rigid schedule and that helps us stay on track. Some of us need extreme flexibility. We want to share our thoughts on productivity this week and hope after listening you’ll embrace more of what works FOR YOU!

It can feel risky to stand out with your business but we’d say it’s one of the most important decisions you can lean into when building your brand and doing any copywriting (emails, sales pages, newsletters, articles, etc).

Your brand is how someone feels when they experience your product or service and the more you inject your authenticity and uniqueness into that brand the more you’ll align with your customers/clients!

For years, we’ve wrestled with the ideas of “being professional” and… what the heck does that even mean?? Who decides what a “professional” standard is in the online business world we exist in these days? Does that antiquated way of thinking actually matter anymore?  (Spoiler alert: no, it does not.)

Did we mention we made it to Europe and OMG we live out of our suitcases now and are traveling full-time?? Wowowowowow.

Tune in to hear where we are in Europe and the truth about how hard it is for a highly sensitive person with anxiety to be awake for 24+ hours and on planes for more than half of that.

But, we made it and we want to share some stories about our first Airbnb, the cute little grocery store we found, the amazing coffee shop that’s just downstairs, and our very first rooftop dinner experience (that wasn’t… perfect).
