160 - How to keep going when you can’t see results

51m · Published 16 Mar 13:00

It’s so easy to caught up in all the online biz success stories. You see faces and businesses that look and sound similar to yours, only they’ve had some astronomical success in a short period of time (which you’ve never experienced). The more we read/see/hear these OUTLIER success stories, the harder it becomes to understand that consistency and sticking with something through the quiet beginning stage is so crucially important to reaching your goals.

In this episode, we want you to walk away feeling like a 6-month, no-results plan of action is OKAY. We hope you’ll commit to the input, the processes, the journey, and you’ll let the results come and measure them at the END of that timeframe. Now, there are of course caveats with all of that and we share them throughout this ep.

The next time you’re about to embark on a new biz journey, we hope this conversation can motivate but also reassure you that results take time and consistent quality is one of the most important things to focus on.

158 - Learning the same lessons over and over (is okay!)

41m · Published 02 Mar 14:00

This week, we share how our Behind The Build LIVE project went. In that project we ran into a familiar friend: Being too ambitious and not being able to achieve what we’d set out to do. Now, normally our over-ambition just leads to a project taking longer to complete, but with only ONE day to complete our live project, it spurred some additional thoughts about a lesson we continue to learn over and over again.

We’re certain there’s a lesson in life or business that you continually run into. We hope in this episode, we share a few nuggets to help you EMBRACE learning the same lesson over and over and lessening the negative shameful thoughts that can come with it!

🌘✨ Also, do you agree, the phrase should be: Shoot for the stars and end up on the moon? C’mon, space engineers, let us know!

157 - How we built a $500,000+ affiliate program in 3 years

54m · Published 23 Feb 14:00

This week we are breaking down our affiliate program for our main offer (WAIM Unlimited). Just a few years ago we weren’t interested in “affiliate marketing” at all. We share those initial misconceptions and how our mindset shifted in a different direction, with the help of our paying customers who were asking if they could promote WAIM to their friends and subscribers.

Nearly 70% of our new WAIM customers in the past 3 years are from our existing customers (affiliates) and we love this for multiple reasons: Not only because it keeps us from having to spend money on marketing and advertising, but because we know our members are only going to attract people who share our similar values.

Some business owners might hear that we’ve paid our affiliates $166,000 and think that’s money that could’ve gone into our pockets, but we see it as a great way to re-invest in our members and thank them for their efforts!

We hope this chat about affiliate marketing can give you some concrete ideas on if setting up affiliates is right for your business.

156 - Setting your "good enough" standard

40m · Published 16 Feb 14:00

🚨 If you’re listening to this episode on Feb 16, join us LIVE (kind of) as we do a 1-day project sprint and let you watch the (good enough) action: https://wanderingaimfully.com/behind

If you’re anything like us it can feel like a project is never quite done. There’s always SOMETHING you can continue to tweak, design, edit, etc. But, we all know not finishing a project and moving on is a form of procrastination and perfectionism (we’re very guilty of this!) So, what the heck do you do and how do you embrace a “good enough” mindset in your standard of work?

We believe we’ve found three ways to help you define what “good enough” can look like in your work. We’re using those three ways for our own work and moving projects forward so they don’t drag on forever! Hopefully, what we share in this episode can help you if you’re like us and can get stuck in the weeds with your business.

155 - Growing pains in redefining relationship roles

1h 7m · Published 09 Feb 14:00

We know relationships can often be positioned as “perfect” on social media, but we all know that’s not the truth. In fact, constantly seeing a “perfect” relationship can be harmful in that it doesn’t normalize the reality that we all often are experiencing. Relationships are wonderful, but they can also be difficult as we’re two humans trying to operate in the world with unique brains and (potentially) opposite ways of thinking/feeling minute to minute.

In this episode, we share the “problem” we’ve run into and the five solutions we’re using to work through it. We are NOT relationship therapists, or coaches, we’re just two normal people who think relationships should be shared more authentically more often!

154 - 3 things to do when you're at max capacity

58m · Published 02 Feb 14:00

We’ve built up a bit of a “creative dam” and are trying to figure out how to not overwork ourselves and get into burnout territory (no thank you!) In this episode, we share a couple of important ways we ensure we notice when we’re reaching maximum capacity and how to create a more sustainable pace.

Whether you’ve been working for yourself for years (like us) or you’re just getting started, there are times when you’ll put too many items on your to-do list and we want to help you navigate those moments.

153 - New year, new goals! The big picture in 2023 for us...

1h 18m · Published 26 Jan 14:00

In our first episode of 2023, we’re zooming the lens way out and sharing the results of a few lonnnnng planning days we had to kick off the year. We set a new “enough” revenue goal for all of 2023 and we talk about how that breaks down between our two businesses: Wandering Aimfully and Teachery.

Hopefully, this episode can help you think about your 2023 revenue goals (that are unique to YOU!) and how to break those goals down into actionable steps you can take. And don’t forget, it’s all an experiment 👍👍.
