Kyle Chalmers - From Port Lincoln to World Champion

You know Bevo from Legends with Bevo? Well, he has now started a new exciting swimming podcast with highly credentialed swimming coach Shelly Jarrett.

Shelly aka Shells has coached some of the biggest names in swimming including Adelaide’s very own world champion Kyle Chalmers who also happens to be our first guest on the podcast.

On this first exciting episode, Shells discussed a small insight to some of the more fun elements of coaching Kyle and how that helped to make swimming more enjoyable.

We also discussed the influence fellow coach Peter Bishop has had on his career, Kyle's plans post swimming, his current side hussle that's keeping him busy and we had a fun game plus Shelly's special sprint finish to keep Kyle on his toes!

Chris McDermott and Sarah Game discuss the important role footy and politics play with mental health!

With a love of animals Sarah originally chose a career in veterinary medicine but a change in careers has now seen her elected as a member of South Australia’s Upper House of Parliament where she is now a part of the One Nation party.

Chris was the Adelaide Crows original skipper and was a star of the club playing 117 games.

He also played 14 state games and played 227 for his beloved Glenelg Football Club and 10 games for North Adelaide where he was a player coach.

Post career he has dedicated his time towards helping young people doing it really tough with cancer as part of The McGuiness McDermott Foundation and Little Heroes Foundation.

His hard work hasn’t gone unnoticed and Bone has been recognised with a nomination for South Australian of the Year.

We talked about the awesome International Men's Day event that is happening next month, Sarah's career in politics so far and how she got into it and Bone some great stories throughout his stellar footy career in the AFL and SANFL!

Jeanine shares a five-step process for effective communication: calming oneself before a conversation, stating observations without judgement, getting curious about the teen's feelings, validating their feelings, and asking for their ideas to make better choices.

Jeanine emphasizes the importance of removing the word "why" from conversations as it often puts the other person on the defensive.
