Confessions of a Judger

29m · Published 17 Nov 19:03

Have you ever had one of those "a-ha" moments about yourself that simultaniously made you feel relieved and ashamed?  That's what happened to me when I (the self- proclaimed "mindset maven") came to the realization that I am a judgemental person- judgemental mostly of myself.  Most importantly how it has halted my personal growth!

If you are wondering if you are a judgmental person too or if maybe this is hindering your personal growth, I invite you to listen in to this episode of both self discovery and a recipe for change.  Judgement is a problem, but it can easily be transformed into learning and therefore LOTs of personal growth.

My Mess and My Message, My Mission and the Magic

30m · Published 10 Nov 02:09

Ok, this episode has been a long time coming.  I am FINALLY sharing the nitty gritty and breaking down my story for you in hopes that it resonates and sparks you to want to take some action!  I have always been a big believer in authenticity, but fear I haven't been fully authentic because I am always only sharing part of my truth.  I realize that I don't share much of my personal struggles in fear that I will be judged, but the truth is my struggles are a necessary part of my business!  These struggles are what lead me to positive psychology.  This is how I found solutions that WORK, and continue to work when I fall off track.

Enjoy this episode and stay tuned for more!

37m · Published 14 Oct 13:45

If you have big dreams and goals, this is the episode for you.  I'm so excited to bring Emiliya Zhivotovskaya into your ears with her story.  I had the privilege of interviewing Emiliya about her experience in creating a program that brings positive psychology to the masses, a program that I am lucky enough to be participating in too.  Please read on to learn a little bit more about Emiliya...

Emiliya is the founder and CEO of The Flourishing Center, a New York City based, Benefit Corporation (B-Corp) that is dedicated to increasing the flourishing of individuals, organizations and communities worldwide.

She is the creator of the acclaimed Certification in Applied Positive Psychology (CAPP) program offered online worldwide, which has trained over 1,500 practitioners to date.  She is the creator of the Bounce Back Better (B3) Program, Applied Positive Psychology Coaching Certification (APPC), Flourishing Skills Group (FSG) Program, iMMi Program, co-founder of the Positive Educator Certification (PEC) Program, creator of the PERMA-V Model and the 5i Change Agent Model. (If you haven't noticed, she likes creating and is an "inventor" in our 5i Change Agent Model.)

Emiliya holds a Master's Degree from the University of Pennsylvania in Positive Psychology and is currently pursuing her PhD in Mind-Body Medicine from Saybrook University.  Emiliya holds a Master Certified Coach (MCC) credential with the International Coaching Federation (ICF), as well as over a dozen certifications in modalities ranging from coaching to yoga, Reiki, intenSati, Thai massage, biofeedback, motivational interviewing, and more.

Prior to her work in the science of wellbeing, Emiliya was a professional party entertainer for over 12 years.  She brings her entertaining background to her work today as a "pra-cademic-preneur"; first and foremost she is a practitioner working in the field with individuals and organizations, then a researcher and academic, and an entrepreneur, focusing not just on the growth of The Flourishing Center, but is passionate about the craft of entrepreneurism and helping others grow their work.  She integrates these tools into a unique approach to vitality and mind-body health, inspiring and empowering others to craft a life of thriving mentality, emotionally, physically, spiritually, and financially.
