The Best New Habits to Incorporate Now

33m · Published 12 Jan 11:00

At the beginning of a new year we're all enticed to make some resolutions, and by February all those have fizzled.  In this episode you will learn how reframing resolutions into forming new habits is a much better idea, and how "habit batching" can make some serious changes in your life!

I start by explaining some great new habits from The Blue Zone, a book by Dan Buettner about how to create longevity in your life.  From there I go on to show you 5 new habits you can add to your life, and show you how they will have a ripple effect and cause big change.

Also mentioned is the book, 5AM Club by Robin Sharma.  Great read for anyone looking to start waking up earlier! (Which is habit #1 on this episode!)

Please make sure to stay tuned about the "Figure It Out- 60 Day Bootcamp" Starting on February 7th!  Cannot wait!

If She Can, You Can- Interview with Balancing Life Nutrition's Katie Henry

45m · Published 08 Dec 11:00

In this episode you will hear from Katie Henry of Balancing Life Nutrition.  Katie is a nutritionist and she shares with us some great tips on nutrition for ourselves and our families!

Katie was born and raised in Maine, but currently lives in Atlanta with her husband, 2 yr old son, and terrier-chihuahua.  Katie has an undergrad degree in French and International Relations which allowed her to travel all over Europe, and also led her to fall even more in love with food.  From there she went to the CIA (Culinary Institute of America) in NYC for a degree in Baking and Pastry Arts.  She worked in restaurants and bakeries in both New York City and Atlanta, as well as food related non-profits, but after almost 10 years in the industry she knew this was something she no longer wanted to pursue (especially for her mental health!) From there she decided to make the leap and do something she had always wanted to do, get her Master's Degree in Human Nutrition.  She actually became pregnant right before she started the program and had her son during her second semester.  This resulted in an very busy and hectic program, but it showed her exactly who she would eventually want to work with- moms or parents looking to balance their life when It comes to nutrition!

You are going to love hearing about Katie's journey, and hearing her great tips on how to tackle your new year goals!  Stay tuned till the end for a special offer from Katie just for my listeners!!!
