Influencedby Influencer Marketing

15m · Published 05 Apr 00:00
In this episode of Digital Public Relations, Haley and Niki take a deep dive into influencer marketing. We talk about influencers and certain things they do that compel us to like or what keeps us scrolling. When it comes to Gen-Z, the best way to reach them is through influencers but not just any influencer. It has to be someone that has built a genuine relationship with their audience. The hyperconnectedness of Gen-Z demands more from influencers and brands to be authentic and transparent. Niki, a mid-sized fashion content creator, talks about her experience creating an authentic personal brand and how influencers inspired her. We examine our favorite brands, such as SKIMS, that excel in influencer marketing and the influencers allowing those brands to stay relevant. Behind College Life: "He Did What?!" - Juicy Reddit Stories

13m · Published 21 Mar 00:00
Welcome! Today's episode is about the nitty-gritty behind-the-scenes college drama nobody talks about. Whether you’re a college student, professor, or alumni, your fun stories and experiences are here! Morgan Cummings and Natalia Hernandez Maceira tell college stories of the difficulties within romantic relationships and roommate relationships while in college. (It gets juicy!🌝) Communication and honesty are the number one focus in Public Relations. Transitioning to college can be difficult for most newcomers because of the amount of self-navigation one has to experience on their own. The first story comes from a first-year student in college whose hometown boyfriend won't let her breakup with him, even though she just concluded she's a lesbian. In contrast, the second story comes from an introvert in college paired to room with extroverts. This causes very awkward living situations for both parties. Listen to the whole audio and find out what we think! Both stories, in the end, have to do with how to handle communication with others in your life. We hope you enjoy it! The city of Cleveland is well known for its sports teams and the loyal fan base behind them. Within the past few years, the city’s MLB team the Cleveland Indians had been receiving major backlash for the team’s name and its Native American reference. The rebranding of the Cleveland Indians dates back to 2018 when the team announced they would stop using their signature Chief Wahoo logo. In the heat of the Black Lives Matter movement, the team announced its plans to completely change its name. The team conducted more than 100 hours of interviews and received input from over 40,000 fans on what the new name should be. In the summer of 2021, they announced the new name of the Cleveland Guardians. The name is a direct connection to the iconic Cleveland landmark of the Hope Memorial Bridge. Through this podcast, our hosts look into what has gone into the rebrand on a public relations standpoint and what we can learn from the brand. Taylor Swift's Re-Release of Red (Taylor's Version)

16m · Published 23 Nov 00:00
When Taylor Swift's music was sold out from underneath her, she was devastated. All of the lyrics that she wrote at 15 with her pen and paper were now under the ownership of popular manager Scooter Braun. Upon learning this, Taylor Swift got to work and started re-recording these popular albums with each song title including "(Taylor's Version)" at the end. The re-recordings sound nearly identical to the original tracks with the exception of better production and a more mature voice. On Nov. 19 of this year, Taylor re-released Red, her popular album originally released in 2012. This is the second album that Taylor re-recorded and re-released with new artwork giving her 100% ownership. Taylor has utilized social media in such a strategic way to keep fans excited about an album that was originally released 10 years ago. Whether it's TikTok trends, Starbucks collaborations, or short films, Red (Taylor's Version) is the topic of conversation everywhere.
