No excuses isn’t a sufficient answer to people facing underlying mental health, chronic stress, and energy issues.

I grew up most of my life as what most call an “unmotivated person.”

I got bad grades. I graduated at the bottom of my class. I wasn't athletic or socially adept or actionably creative. I didn't “try” and was hardly ambitious or considered successful.

Fast forward to a series of life-changing experiences that started in 2015 & 2016.

I’m now more motivated than ever in my life! Waking up early in the mornings daily without much pain, accomplishing my habits and goals, and feeling this internal sense of power, vitality, and trust in my abilities in life.

This particular sense of energy that implicitly screams “no matter what happens on the outside today, I will have a grounded powerful beautiful happy internal experience of the world.”

What I learned is motivation is a multiple-part beast. If you don’t understand this then the concept of motivating yourself becomes either impossible or too audacious of a goal to accomplish or to even try to aim for consistently.

- Being an introvert doesn’t mean every time you want to speak with someone, your body’s fight, and flight response gets triggered and you start sweating, panting, tapping your legs, and then overthink and close your mouth.
- Being an introvert doesn’t mean you are shy in front of 100% of the people you meet every single time no matter what the situation is.
- Being an introvert doesn’t mean you have no confidence in yourself.
- Being an introvert doesn’t mean you socially isolate yourself and have no deep connections or you either have friends you keep around you to speak shallow talk with to give yourself the illusion that you have friends and everything is fine.

Listen to learn more about overthinking, why it happens, how to gain awareness, and how to manage this tricky and somewhat invisible yet detrimental problem in someone's life.

I spent my entire life overthinking everything. So much so, I didn't even know I was overthinking but felt I was just thinking normally, and being “being myself.”

Today I understand, overthinking is a complex feedback loop, between identity, pain, and the psycho-social structures alongside your neurobiology that create your very thinking, before you even know what you are thinking to think.

Especially for some of us, we have what I would call “viruses” embed into our thinking and mind software like social anxiety and other potential mental health issues.
