Emotional Intelligence and Yoga & Ayurveda

23m · Published 24 Jul 15:00

Even though we do not see the word Emotional Intelligence (EI) mentioned in the wisdom of Yoga & Ayurveda, there is a clear understanding in these wisdoms, that our overall wellness involves recognizing and managing emotions effectively, fostering self-awareness and empathy. This understanding of our emotional landscape enables us to develop emotional balance, resilience, and compassion. Communication, guided by the principle of Ahimsa (non-violence), emphasizes mindful and empathetic interactions. Integrating EI into daily life through Yoga practices like Asana or conscious physical movements, Pranayama or breathing practices, and meditation, as well as Ayurvedic understanding of our constitution, diet, daily routines, and detox therapies creates harmony between the mind, body, and emotions, promoting holistic well-being.
