Welcome to Episode 43. Today's meditation is called Open Your Heart Guided Meditation.

The heart is the emotional center of the body. Every experience and every emotion is stored in the heart. Imagine how much residue and heaviness is stuck in the heart?

When the heart is blocked, our energy is de-pressed. We can lack a sense of joy and find it difficult to be in the present moment. By cleansing out the emotional goo, we can begin to feel joy again. We can forgive and observe others more compassionately. We begin to feel free. Now our inner light (our true nature) can shine authentically with courage and grace.

Imagine how we would relate to each other with an open heart and elevated consciousness. We could heal the world.

Episode 35: Self-Healing Meditation

https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/cheryne-blom/subscribe Today's meditation is a self-healing meditation.Healing is hard, which is why most people avoid it or don't even know how to face it. And most people I meet don't fully grasp the concept of healing, especially self-healing.

So in today's episode, I thought I would discuss it a bit further and offer you a self-healingmeditation. In The Courage To Be You, I refer to six emotional wounds that get stuck in the body: Abandonment, rejection, betrayal, uncertainty or change,judgment, or criticism, and failure. When we are avoiding our pain, we do three things.We distract ourselves, which means we busy ourselves,move our attention and distract ourselves from feeling that inner disturbance or inner pain. We react, which means we emotionally react. We cry, we scream, we get angry. Or we contract. And by contract, I mean we withdraw into ourselves. We shut down,and we just push everything down. We internalize everything. We go quiet. And so, when we are avoiding pain, we are doing everything but attending to it and,healing the pain.

To heal means we become whole again. So we have to face our pain in order toreally, really heal it. We've got to dive into it, move into it without fear, but,with courage. (8:22) Start of guided meditation

Episode 34: 7x3 Guided Meditation

Many people think that you need a lot of time to meditate. However, researchers have found that the best,results from meditation come from short, focused meditations done more frequently. So this 7x3 meditation is for you to do in the morning as you wake up,throughout your day, and perhaps in the afternoon when you start to fatigue,and then the best time would be to practice it again before you go to sleep.

The practice of Meditation is about training your brain to be in the present moment and to really manage stress,levels. Ideally, we want to meditate in the moment which means that you can feel,your emotions and stress levels escalate and then bring yourself back down tocalm. Ideally, we are looking to trigger the relaxation response which is theopposite of the fight-flight or freeze response, our stress response. Really important in our highly stressed fast-paced lives.
