Rylie Dewley is a sophomore at Grand Blanc High School, heavily involved in activities with school and friends, one of them being the first Majorette for the school community in decades. She saw that several of her peers who were graduating high school this year were not able to celebrate in a tradiitional way, and wanted to do something to put a smile on their faces. Riley has put a smile on all of our faces with her incredible act of kindness for the Senior Bobcats in Grand Blanc, Michigan. Superintendent Julie Williams and Teacher Lisa Richards-Perry, of Lake Fenton School District, were able to share some sought after time and insight on the new Executive Order from Governor Gretchen Whitmer that outlinines the closing of all in-person classroom schooling in Michigan for the remainder of the current school year. We discuss access to learning devices, commencement celebrations, curriculum review, and resources for special needs students. Superintendent Williams and Mrs. Richards-Perry offer their best practices thus far in logistics as well as emotional support and management.
