As a woman in the professional sports industry, she quickly learned the importance of being authentic and comfortable in your own skin. Temple encourages young women following in her footsteps to follow up with professionals you are inspired by, to ask a lot of questions, learn as much as you can, and to try to build relationships with people as early as you can.

She saw the importance of helping individuals create their empires and unlocking information and resources for them. When brainstorming a word to accurately describe Sacha, the women threw around resilient, energetic, driven, and free spirit - all of which ring true. Brackins measures success through spending time with her children while simultaneously being able to pour into clients in the workplace. When asked to give advice to young women following in her footsteps, Sacha encourages girls to give themselves a little slack, don’t worry about getting things done perfectly, get good people around you, and to be kind.

In this episode, Rebecca Jones is joined by Senior Advisor at St. Jude’s Research Hospital, Jennifer Castell. After opening their doors in 1962, St. Jude’s has worked tirelessly to raise the survival rate of childhood cancers from 28% to over 80%. Castell found her path in the nonprofit world after trying out the profit management world. In a full circle moment, Castell found herself at her dream career with St. Jude’s, an organization that she had donated to as a child in East County San Diego. Describing herself as resilient, Castell finds balance in her career by focusing on giving the families that she works with as much hope and time as possible. Personally, Jennifer is a firm believer in self care and enjoying nature. When asked to give advice to young girls following in her footsteps, Castell encourages young women to be flexible when it comes to their career paths and to take chances on different avenues to find their passion. She encourages girls to be present with their loved ones, be confident in yourself, and most importantly, to have grace for others - you never know what they are going through.

In this episode, Rebecca Jones is joined by the Executive DIrector of the Jackie Robinson Family YMCA, Anna Arancibia. The Jackie Robinson Family YMCA is a longtime staple in the San Diego community, providing resources such as swim lessons, quality and affordable youth sports, health and resource fairs, free sports physicals, and teen nights. The women discuss the toll that the pandemic has had on our youth, and the importance of safe recreation spaces in our communities. Arancibia found her home with the YMCA organically and early on, after figuring out that other fields were not for her. When asked for a word to describe herself, Arancibia chooses passionate. A natural introvert, Anna is inspired and passionate about the work she does with the YMCA. She holds true in her belief that every child and family should be provided opportunities within their community. Arancibia talks about the difficulties of balancing being an executive, a mother, and also finding time for herself. Her leadership philosophy is to lead with love and encourage those around her to be their most authentic selves. When asked to give advice to young women following in her footsteps, Arancibia encourages girls to see themselves as leaders from early on, speak up, get out more, and to cultivate a solid support group around you.

In this week’s episode, Rebecca Jones is joined by the CEO of Sit Pretty Social, founder of Molly Tries, influencer, and future host of Winfluence podcast, Molly Chinnock. Having grown up in a small town, Chinnock always found herself rising to the top and forging her own path through life. Although she loved learning and law, Chinnock decided quickly in her career as an Assistant District Attorney that this was not the career for her and decided to try her hand at influencer marketing. Describing herself as approachable and relatable, Molly has found her passion in helping small creators leverage their influence, and in showing local businesses how to grow through social media marketing and content partnerships. When asked for words of wisdom for young women following in her footsteps, Chinnock reminds them that it’s okay to not know what you want to do right away. She encourages girls to work on building your communities and to trust that there is plenty of time to carve out your path.

Come with Rebecca Jones in this week’s episode as she is joined by CEO, entrepreneur, expert of textured hair and beauty care, and publisher, Cheryl Morrow. Morrow checks in with her aquarius characteristics and discusses the importance of either re-examining what has been done before and improving processes, or starting over from scratch. She elaborates, saying that our vision for the future relies on engaging with new ideas and people as they cross our paths. The women explore the realities of learning different types of competitiveness and all of the different lessons that team sports can teach our youth. When asked to describe herself with one word, Morrow chooses the word listener, saying that sometimes it’s important to listen to what is not being said just as much as what is being said.

Morrow doesn’t choose to measure her success conventionally. Instead, she acknowledges that having true success includes not having the time to define it. Morrow finds balance through learning to be aligned with herself and through the art of delegation. She encourages young women to embrace collaborations and to be specific in their quest for success.
