Episode 51 - Let's Start Here by Lil Yachty ALBUM REACTION

19m · Published 25 Feb 16:00

Another week of a music reaction!

This time it is an album from the artist Lil Yachty. The album is titled, "Let's Start Here" and it was released on January 27th of this year.

Yachty has always been typically known for his rapping, but on this project he explores different genres like alternative rock and psychedelic rock. The first influences I could hear on this project wear Pink Floyd and Tame Impala.

Listening all the way through the entirety of this LP is insanely large trip and I don't even take drugs.

It is exciting because now we get to anticipate what Yachty will do next and see how his career progresses after an album of this caliber.

The sound is pleasant to the ear and I think you all should give it a listen.

Until next time,
Cole Poots.

Episode 50 - Reviewing "Watch the World Burn" by Falling in Reverse

25m · Published 16 Feb 12:00

In this weeks episode I talk about Ronnie Radke, Falling in Reverse, and their latest single that was released titled, "Watch the World Burn".

Ronnie Radke is a very polarizing figure in the music industry, you either love him or you hate him. The unfortunate thing is that his name has always been surrounded by heavy criticism for things he has done in the past.

I for one can see that this man is attempting to turn his life around and it seems like people are trying to hold him hostage to his past decisions.

He is extremely talented in music, his work ethic is undeniable, and everything this band puts out immediately garners eyeballs, clicks, and attention.

I feel the need to come to Ronnie's aid/defense because what he is doing with his music, message, and unrelenting creativity is massively important for the day and age that we are living in. This man must be protected at all costs.

Enjoy the episode, the video version will be up on YouTube here shortly.

Episode 49 - How I Overcame My Biggest Rut of Anxiety/Depression

47m · Published 14 Jan 15:00

Hello friends, it is officially 2023.

This podcast/video actually took some forethought on my part this time.

I wanted to encourage people by telling my story of how I got through my toughest experience with anxiety and depression.

I think a lot of what plagues our society today is the victimhood mentality.

People complain endlessly because it garners attention and sympathy from other people on the internet without ever requiring the complainer to actually get up off of their butt and improve their life.

I'm here to tell you that mental health is a real thing and yet I have found ways to make my journey with it much more controllable.

You have the power within you to get better.

This phase, this season of life isn't going to last forever.

What are you doing now that is going to pay dividends for your mental health in the future?

If you feel incapable of solving your problems, are you asking for help?

Are you making your situation worse by staying in the filth, making excuses for yourself?

All valid questions you must ask yourself if you truly want to get out of the bad spot you are in right now.

Hope this message helps, enjoy the episode! As always, spread the message and help the channel/podcast grow.

Episode 48 - A Personal Trainer's Guide to Handling New Years Resolutions

21m · Published 26 Dec 21:00

Hey guys, just a quick little message here.

I wanted to put out a video/podcast talking about the New Year's Resolutions that are bound to pop up in the next week or so.

We all know those people who say every time New Years rolls around that they are going to make significant, positive changes in their lives and this is going to be the year to do it.

Don't fool yourself and please don't be one of these people. You know you're not going to get started and you know you're going to give yourself an out when it comes facing adversity and setbacks along the way.

Instead, try a tool I used that actually did help me create a feasible mindset heading into the New Year and kickstarted the actions  I needed to take to get closer to that version of myself that I knew I always had in me.

I call it my New Year's intentions and just be reframing those thoughts in my head helped  me come up with a better attack sequence that was going to get me real results.

I've been using this tool for the last two years and all of my intentions in that time period have come true. You have to be willing to put in the work though. This isn't some type of manifestation nonsense where you try to speak it into existence without doing a god dang thing.

It's more about writing these areas of desired change on paper, reminding yourself of those every single day, and then going out there into the real world and start executing.

You are going to make mistakes.

You are going to have mishaps.

You are going to face adversity.

You are going to be challenged a lot.

You are going to have setbacks.

That is the point.

Don't avoid them.

Allow them to make you better, to help you forge resiliency, to help guide you towards the light of tomorrow.

In one years time you will be amazed at the progress you have made. You will realize the resolutions wouldn't have taken you to this place. It was your intention that brought about this change and it was your endless pursuit in this fight that lead you to never give up.

Keep going guys, 2023 is there for the taking.

Episode 47 - A message for Brockhampton

24m · Published 27 Nov 16:00

This week I had to address the breaking up of the best boyband since One Direction, none other than Brockhampton.

It's a sad occasion, it really is.

"The Family" and "TM" just dropped on November 17th and its begun to really set in that these two projects may very well be their last two albums as a group.

Although, "The Family" is mainly highlighted by Kevin Abstract and production from Bearface, the conclusion of the band is summed up on the project.

Kevin goes through a series of emotions detailing how he feels at this moment in time. There isn't a whole lot of depth to it and yet I still feel like it comes off as genuine.

I don't think these guys owe us any bit of an explanation as to why they split. I'm more so thrilled that we got some music from them.

It sucks to see these guys break up the band but at the same time, I'm excited to see where their solo careers lead to.

Episode 46 - Live Hard program completion, isolation, and chimpanzees

27m · Published 13 Nov 15:00

In advance, I apologize for the constant shaking of the camera in the video version of this podcast. I tend to speak with my hands quite often and to get my point across, I kept hitting the table.

In this podcast I go on a rant/discussion about finishing the Live Hard program over the last year, I talk about the loneliness epidemic we're facing across the globe right now, and I even mention a neat study about chimpanzees.

Make sure you give it a listen and share the message with your friends, family members, and like minded people you interact with on a daily basis.

Feels great to put out another podcast and I hope to be doing these more often as so much as my time allows it. Thank you all for the continued support!

Episode 45 - My thoughts on my current life situation

18m · Published 16 Oct 14:00

This week's episode was a different twist.

I was sitting out in nature during my walk and having a conversation with myself out loud about where I'm at in life at this current moment.

After I began to talk, I felt deeply moved by the insight, reflection, and analysis I was having. I thought it would be a good idea to tap the record button on my phone.

I will look back at this moment in the future as if it were a time capsule and I'll think, "what was this dufus talking about back in 2022"?

Listen, life is hard. Everyone is struggling with something right now, I can almost guarantee that. We are constantly reminded on the news that everything is imploding.

If you live in America right now, we're dealing with a President who is incapable of making the right decisions for our country. It seems like a lot of people have a bleak outlook on life right now.

I'm here to tell you that every tough season, situation, feelings, anxiety, whatever it is always eventually passes. We must control our daily actions to feel like we have any control over our lives.

I hope this message resonates with you, encourages you, or gives you a new perspective to consider.

Thank you.

Episode 44 - Heather Sage vs. 75 Hard

1h 56m · Published 19 Sep 13:00

Hey there guys!

I'm finally back with a podcast where I have an actual guest!

My guest is my client, Heather Sage!

We met back in April when I became a personal trainer at Norwalk Anytime Fitness.

She just recently completed 75 Hard and joined the podcast to discuss her results, insights, and personal development.

This is the longest podcast I've ever done, but I enjoyed it so much.

Heather is a great person, client, friend, and mother. She's always willing to challenge herself and continues to see really amazing progress in the gym and in life.

What is even more impressive is the fact that she is a single mother to three daughters and still found a way to complete 75 Hard.

I'm so proud of her as I've literally seen her grow so much in the course of the these last 5 and a half months. It's make me thrilled to see where she goes from here!

Enjoy this 2 hour conversation, it's packed with great content worth consuming!

Episode 43 - Stretching for 31 days in a row

20m · Published 11 Sep 21:00

It's been awhile since I made an actual video/podcast!

That changes this week!

For the entire month of August I wanted to place a challenge on myself and see if I could pull through.

The challenge was to do 1,000 push ups and stretch everyday for 10 to 15 minutes.

In this video I go over 5 key benefits I experienced as a result of doing the challenge.

The results surprised me and are likely to do the same for you guys.

Thanks for the continued support and I'll see y'all on the next video!

Episode 42 - Input Equals Output: The Universe Gives What's Been Earned

21m · Published 09 Jul 15:00

In this week's chat I speak on the idea of Input = Output. Essentially what you put into the universe is what you will ultimately receive.

I've experienced this reality many times over in the last year and a half. In this video I go over at least three different examples where my effort eventually payed off.

I think this is such an underrated topic that more people should talking about and applying to their lives.
