I humbly ask that if you are supporting me in this effort and have found my work to be valuable already, please consider sharing what you have learned with friends, family, coworkers, neighbors, and ask them to do the same. Stop SHOULDing on Yourself; Define Your Success with Coach Mindy

34m · Published 02 Mar 14:00

On this episode, I'm joined by Mindy, a women's leadership coach who was once working her way up in corporate American only to finally realize she felt success empty and didn't recognize who she was anymore.

What we talk about
Mindy realization that she wanted to have more impact on people, which led her to become a coach
Our definition of success
Devoting all her time to making someone else’s (company) dream flourish instead of her own and when she finally started to work on her own dream that became an issue for her company
How losing her job was a sign from the universe, although scary, she knew she was in the right place and doing the right thing
Going through the process of unlearning and following her soul by coaching herself and questioning everything she’s been telling herself
The myth that a 9-5 offers a sense of security and a guaranteed paycheck
Clubhouse and its opportunity for us to connect with people and build our tribe
Why Americans don’t use PTO often and the fact that many people wear burnout as a badge of honor

What you can learn
As an entrepreneur, it's natural to feel nervous and scared and more entrepreneurs have the ability to share their lows as much as their high so other can feel that relatability and hope for themselves that they are enough
Listen to yourself. If something doesn’t feel right, dig deep to figure out why
Be unique to you and who you should be as opposed to what others think you should be
Remember, stress does wreak havoc on your body
