As the main purpose of the Profit Producer Podcast, Boyd shares her journey from where she started to how she managed to shift to this “new normal”. She acknowledged her failures as “blessing in disguise” that directed her to the path she is taking now.
“When you are passionate about something, it shows in the work you provide” (DeKesha Williams).
This episode will also teach us the essence of CONTINUOUS LEARNING, LEADERSHIP and ADAPTABILITY. Continuous Learning because Entrepreneurship is a lifelong lesson. Leadership, on the other hand, “has nothing to do with you doing it better. It has everything to do with you serving them (your team) better” - Boyd. Lastly, the Adaptability to the “new normal” that this COVID-19 pandemic brought us. Boyd’s transition to a more online platform, serving and educating online, operating digitally and virtually is truly remarkable.

Today’s guest speaker is a Social Media Advertising Coach & Consultant, Digital Marketing Strategist and the person who started the company SMART Growth Marketing, Mr. Darien Hill. His story is very inspiring and will surely motivate you to get going. He helps entrepreneurs to basically create more sales through social media advertising. But more than the strategies, Mr. Hill highlights the importance of making an IMPACT to your audience. The “secret sauce” to successful entrepreneurship is to AMPLIFY your content to your audience or possible clients. In this episode, Darien Hill walks us through the main strategies to become successful entrepreneurs.

As Mr. Hill reiterates, Entrepreneurship journey is mainly the evolution of who we become and the degree of growth in our own craft. [03:20] Darien begins to answer the questions “Where did you get the idea to start your company?” and “What was the start of your journey to where you are right now?” Darien wits “Your business can only grow to the degree of your growth”.
[04:40] He continues to tell the story behind how he started his own company SMART Growth Marketing. He shares his interesting journey - his background, education, and first job. “It was a part of the growth process” he points out.
[06:34] His first company (E-solutions) with a business partner and how it became a success in just a year. But behind the growing success, a heartbreaking experience happened. “Everything is gone.” Darien cries. “I started to feel like a failure. I lost my enthusiasm, my self confidence.”
[10:43] His defining moment. Turning from being devastated and lost to having personal development. Rising up again and going through this incredible direction he is right now. “Because I went through that defining moment...it allowed me to do a self analysis.” Strategy is understanding your own psychology, your own thinking. Darien states his main point of having the “secret sauce” to this strategy.

[16:14] “What are you currently creating that you are passionate about?” DeKesha’s next question. “I do more consulting,” he answers.

How To Drive More Traffic To Your Next Webinar

This week on the Profit Producer Podcast still with your host, your virtual COO  Dekesha Williams. In this episode, she will discuss how you can drive more traffic to your next webinar. She's here to give us three step-by-step tips on how we can get 100 targeted leads for our next webinar. 

DeKesha emphasizes that one of the biggest challenges people face when it comes to driving traffic is not having a clear plan in place. She recommends setting up registration pages, thank you pages, live pages, or whatever platform works best for you.

Once those are set up, DeKesha suggests leveraging email list and SMS messaging as a way to promote your webinar and get people interested. With SMS messaging, you have the ability to personalize messages and target people based on their interests or previous behavior. She also recommends building a Facebook group with around 2,000 people that can be used as a platform for engaging potential participants and spreading awareness about upcoming events.

A bombing took place in November 2016 at Boham Air Force Base in Afghanistan during his time in the military. The event struck him to his core, forcing him to seek out help for his mental health after returning home from service. Since then, he has become one of the leading voices for vulnerability being a strength rather than a weakness; something he was taught both growing up in traditional black communities and during his time in the military. 

Jevon will be discussing this experience and how it's helped him become successful in business today, by allowing him to show up as his true self rather than trying to fit someone else’s mold. This episode will be sure to give listeners insight into how they can use their own experiences to find success while still being true to themselves.
