HOW TO ACTUALLY MEASURE CONSISTENCY IN BUSINESS 

 

Is it just me or have you also felt like you have been talking to crickets these past few months?

Have you felt disappointed and discouraged every-time that you looked at your social media analytics, only to see that your engagement has tanked?

I think too often in business it is easy to forget where we have come from and what we have built because we are so laser focused on where we want to go and the fact that we aren't there yet. 

Which means that it is also extremely easy to overlook everything that we HAVE accomplished. 

Which then often makes "off" months, feel like "off" quarters. Which isn't usually the case.

050: Why Your Content Isn't Converting and What To Do About It

Let's be honest creating content can feel like a full time job...in fact for some of us it is. 

So what ends up happening when we are creating content consistently, yet not signing clients consistently? 

We hate it...that's what.

And the more that we hate it, the harder the creation process feels, the harder the process feels, the less we want to do it, the less we want to do it..the less clients we sign. 

So we end up getting ourselves into a creative funk and don't know how to get out of it. 

What I have come to learn by working with almost 100 clients, is that there are usually 2 reasons why our content isn't converting:

  • We don't understand the different levels of awareness (buyer phases) of our ideal clients 

OR 

  • We understand the levels of awareness but not how to talk/write content to each level to warm them up through our content 

 

Which is why on  today's episode I dive into:

  • The three levels of awareness of your ideal client 
  • Two most commonly created types of content and the ONE critical type that is missing 
  • The most overlooked part of our audience and why overlooking them is costing us money 
  • Why you don't need a large following to make more money

049: How the Stories We Tell Ourselves Effect Our Lives

HOW THE STORIES WE TELL OURSELVES EFFECT OUR LIVES 

I am going to be brutally honest with you....lately life has felt like a bit of a shit show! From selling our townhouse, temporarily moving in with my parents, finding the perfect rental, planning to move into our fifth wheel before moving into the perfect rental all while running a business has made me feel a little like a chicken with my head cut off. 

Needless to say, it's felt like a LOT!! 

What's made it feel even worse is the fact that I was telling myself that it was a lot. I have been constantly caught up in feeling like there is so much to do, and not enough time to do it. And the more that I told myself that...the more that I believed it and the more true that it felt. 

Our lives are the reality of the stories that we tell ourselves. Our beliefs create our thoughts, our thoughts create our action and our action create our reality. Since my thoughts have been rooted in stress, anxiety, pressure...what do you think my current reality has felt like?

STRESS!

ANXIETY!

And soooooo much pressure...

As someone who has been deeply immersed in personal development, mindset and energy work for over the past 5 years I am no stranger to the ways in which I self sabotage. And these past few weeks my saboteur has been the one running the show. 

Which is why on  today's episode I dive into:

  • How to identify patterns that are keeping us stuck in our lives and/or businesses 
  • How the change the stories that you are telling yourself 
  • Gaining clarity on what it is that you DO want to feel 
  • How to catch yourself when you feel you are slipping back into old patterns

There is no one size fits all when it comes to strategy and how to run your business. There is only ONE way and that way is the way that is PERFECT for you. 

Which also happens to be a strategy that is completely unique to you, your energy, your lifestyle, your vision and what you want to create.

Yet so often what ends up happening is that instead of creating our own business strategy we follow what is either taught to us or what we see working well for someone else. What often ends up happening when we do this is one of two things:

  1. The strategy works for awhile, until it doesn't work at all 
  2. We follow it and we have complete resistance to it, but continue to follow it 

Both of which contribute to a lack of inspiration and motivation for your business which just creates more resistance for you. 

So how do you create the perfect strategy for you? 

FIRST you stop by trying to following someone else's strategy and second you START finding your own.

Did you know that there are two different strategies that we need in order to grow and scale our businesses?

Yet so often we only end up prioritizing one of them without even knowing. 

As entrepreneurs we get so focused on where we want to go and the milestones that we want to hit:

  • starting our businesses
  • signing our first client
  • scaling to 5k cash months
  • going full time in our businesses
  • scaling to 10k cash months

The more we are focused on the milestones that we want to hit, the more we focus on what we need to do and how exactly do we get there. All of which are action based and only happen to be 1/2 of the business strategy you need. 

Yet it's this same 1/2 of our business strategy that we have been taught to believe is ALL of our strategy. 

Which is why on today's episode we are talking about:

  • the two strategies that you need to grow your business 
  • what is the macro strategy of your business and how do you create it 
  • common mistakes when building your macro strategy and how to avoid it 
  • journal prompts to support you in discovering what your macro strategy is 

 

It's the same reason why when we focus on just the action part of our strategy it can feel like we are taking all the action while not seeing the results we want or feeling like we are falling behind in our businesses. 

When it comes to creating your business strategy I like to think of it this way:

  • A vision without action is a dream 
  • Action without a vision is just work 

Which is why you need BOTH the macro and the micro strategy to run your business easily and effortlessly.

046: 3 Key Areas to Gain Clarity in Your Business to Make More Money

3 KEY AREAS TO GAIN CLARITY IN YOUR BUSINESS TO MAKE MORE MONEY 

 

If you have been following me for any length of time then you will know (or if you are new, you're about to know) something that I am completely obsesssseddd with and that would be the power of clarity! 

If there is ONE thing I am sick of, it is how are continually spoon fed by all the instagram experts and gurus that the secret to growing our businesses is that we just "need to be consistent." And while I get it and it is important to be consistent, being consistent means something different for every person and every business. 

Which is why I believe that "be consistent" is just bad business advice!  đŸ‘ŽđŸ»đŸ‘ŽđŸ»đŸ‘ŽđŸ»Â 

What makes it even more frustrating is when we are consistent and keep hearing we need to be consistent we start to think that being more consistent means DOING MORE
to be consistent. 

And why I personally don't agree with focusing on consistency first is because there is no amount of consistency (okay okay, copious amount) of consistency that will bring you clarity. 

So why not start with clarity FIRST?!

Which is why on today's episode we are talking all things: 

  • Why consistency is just bad business advice
  • The problem with playing the consistency game 
  • What happens when we are consistent and not signing clients consistently 
  • Why clarity is the pathway to consistency 
  • 3 key areas to gain clarity in your business to make more money 

The answer to your problem isn't that you need to be more consistent...it's that you need to get more clear on who it is that you serve, what it is that you do and how YOU stand out. 

 

CLARITY IS THE PATHWAY TO CONSISTENCY

 

When the foundation of your business is built upon clarity:

  • you no longer doubt who it is that you serve
  • content becomes endless (even on days when you feel like you have nothing to say)
  • you know exactly what you want to be known for 
  • you share what it is you do/how you do it confidently 
  • you NEVER worry about what anyone else is doing

 

You can stay consistent all you want, but showing up consistently isn't the same as strategically speaking to your ideal client consistently. Which just so happens to be my speciality!

044: Market Research is DEAD

MARKET RESEARCH IS DEAD 

 I don't know about you, but the thought of conducting market research is an immediate hell to the NO for me! 

It's not something that I like doing. 

It's not something that interests or excites me. 

And it's definitely not something I think I need in order to create incredible offers that also SELL! 

In fact, I know it's not. 

If I am being honest, the only insight that I ever received when conducting market research was that I shouldn't be conducting market research. 

It was actually due to a lack of interest and response to market research that I held myself back from creating a program that I had been so excited and lit up to create. Which happens to be the same offer that once I did create it, went on to have 5 figure launches EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. 

Alllllll without any market research. Which is why market research is not something that I do, recommend or that is ever in any of my programs. 

Which is why on today's episode we are talking all things: 

  • My experience with market research and why I don't like it

043: What It ACTUALLY Means To Surrender

WHAT IT ACTUALLY MEANS TO SURRENDER 

Let's talk surrendering, shall we? 

If you are anything like me then I am sure that you are not unfamiliar with the term of surrendering. In fact, you've probably even told yourself a time or two (or twenty) that you just "need to surrender." 

And you're probably right! 

However I am starting to see a theme emerge when it comes to surrendering and the term being taken quite literally. Meaning that we just aren't surrendering our control but we are ALSO surrendering taking any action. 

Here's the thing....surrendering doesn't mean to completely stop taking action in your life and business. In fact, it's quite the opposite. 

Which is why on today's episode we are talking all things: 

  • What does it actually mean to surrender 
  • Why surrendering doesn't mean to stop taking action 
  • How stopping any action actually signals a lack of trust to ourselves and the universe
  • How to use surrendering to your benefit 

Surrendering isn't about stopping all of the action that you are taking. It is however about stopping yourself from forcing or controlling action. Which often happens when we feel like things aren't working in our businesses the way we figure we should. 

So what do we do? 

We  go into "fixing" mode. What often times initiation this "fixing" mode is that at the root of the action we are taking we don't actually trust ourselves, our businesses or the action that we have been taking. 

Which ultimately just creates a lack of trust. 

Remember surrendering is being able to give up the WHEN and the HOW, while anchoring into the WHY and NOW! 

It's about being able to take daily inspired action with the trust that everything is always working out for your greatest good, without needing to KNOW that it is. I hope that this episode serves as your friendly reminder that where you are at is perfect and exactly where you are meant to be!
