It's no secret that there is no one secret to success....sorry to burst your bubble. Yet as entrepreneurs we seem to be on the never ending search for that ONE THING that will allow our businesses to take off. And when we do we often think that the missing piece to the puzzle is needing more business strategy. 

When in fact more business strategy is often the very LAST thing that you need to grow your business. 

You see...business strategy is just part of the puzzle but it isn't the whole piece. In fact, there are three different strategies that every successful business owner must establish in order to grow their business to 6 figures and beyond. And which strategy you need to focus on will be entirely dependent on what season of growth you and your business are in. 

Which is why in today's episode I am walking you through the 3 main strategies that every business much focus on and how to understand when it's time to shift your focus out of business strategy and focus on the other two.

When I look back on it now I can tell you that business strategy was the LEAST of what supported me to grow my business and it was in fact focusing the other two strategies that created the MOST growth for myself and my business.

Is creating content sucking the life out of you? Does it feel like no matter how much content you produce you always feel behind? Especially when there are marketing "gurus" telling you that you need to post twice per day, while here you are happy if you got 3 posts out for the week.

It's not that you wouldn't love to post more....the problem is how long the whole process takes you. Your content batching session that should have taken a few hours seem to stretch out over a few days. It seems the only thing you are ever doing is creating content.

What makes it even more frustrating is that you know what it is that you want to say but the moment that you sit down to write it, your mind goes blank!

020: Why I Walked Away From An Account with 22,000 Followers

WHY I WALKED AWAY FROM AN ACCOUNT WITH 22,0000 FOLLOWERS 

 

I know that it can be easy to think that all of our business problems would be solved if we just had more followers:

  • we'd sign more clients
  • we'd make more money
  • we'd be able to go all in, in our businesses
  • we could finallllyyy leave our dreaded 9-5 

Which is exactly what I had thought too, so that's what I focused on growing...a following. I grew my account to over 22,000 followers at one point. And everything that I thought would happen once I hit 10 k followers...didn't! The clients that I thought would be flooding my DM's, weren't. The money that I thought would be stacking up in my account , wasn't! And I was still sitting behind a desk at a job I thought I would have already said see ya later suckasssss to. 

Growing a following isn't all it's cracked up to be...take it from someone who knows. Which is why in today's episode I am covering:

It's no secret that utilizing reels is a great way to grow your account. The popularity of reels has been growing ever since it's introduction to instagram in 2020 and doesn't show any signs of slowing down. Just like me you have likely seen many accounts who have grown tens (sometimes even 100s) of thousands of followers within months. Which makes it that much more enticing to hop aboard the reels train to grow your audience. 

Here's the thing...Contrary to popular belief, having more followers doesn't always equate to making more money. It's not to say that it can't happen, it definitely can..but ONLY if you are focused on growing a TARGETED audience and not just any audience.

Are you feeling like it might be time to invest in your business but you aren't quite ready to pull the plug yet?
