A Healthier New Year

Episode 2 of Season 4 features three of my favorite guest, my sisters! 

In this episode we briefly chronicle our journey as Black Women with regard to our health within the current healthy system. We are bring a very unique perspective to the conversation based on our current path in life and as a result of health challenges that we faced or are currently navigating. 

In this episode we reflect on:
-Our privilege as Women of Color being raised by our Mother, a WOC, who is a registered Nurse with over 45+ years of healthcare experience
-Experiences with medical professional and practictioners both positive and unfavorable
-Recent discoveries on our path to wellness
-Lessons learned the hard way
-Our goals for wellness in the new year and  how we plan to accomplish  those goals

Our goal was to spark a conversation that will lead us to consider the changes that we need to make individually and collectively. We hope that conveys and consider us your personal accountability partners this year as we  move towards better health in the new year!

Did you know that even the smallest change can lead to a desired result IF we make the choice and commit. I believe that 2023 is our year. It is the year that we will place a demand on our faith and trust in Christ completely to help us make and navigate necessary change. We all have a box that we've been carrying around. It's time to break out of it so that we can shed fear, doubt, worry, and anxiety. It is time to claim the abudance that we are guaranteed through the shed blood of Jesus Christ! Miranda Campbell is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in GA and FL. She is the founder of PORT Counseling & Consultation, PORT Coaching Collaborative, and PORT Counseling Shop. For the past 15 years, she has worked to provide mental health support to underserved populations.

Miranda is passionate about Social Work and believes that quality and ethical mental health care should be easily accessible to all. Further, she advocates for ending the stigma of mental health and therapy for Womxn of Color and the Black Community as a whole.

In her practice, Miranda works with people experiencing relationship burnout and assists them in recognizing ways to implement boundaries to help preserve their worthwhile connections. 

In her spare time, Miranda is an avid reader and enjoys travel and trying new foods. Though she is a California native, Miranda currently lives in Georgia with her husband and their two kids
