In 2011, I had weight loss surgery.  On my journey of becoming I notice I not only need to shed physical weight but emotional weight to become a better me.  Sometimes in life, we have things in our past like unforgiveness and holding grudges that may possibly be the thing weighing us down and keeping us from soaring.  Let's talking about shedding the emotional weight.

In this episode, I sit down with rapper/producer Shaka D. Cakes about being different and loving it.  Sometimes it's hard to embrace our uniqueness. We live in a society where it's common to compare.  Shaka D. notice at a young age that he was different.  As a music artist, he discovered he wasn't like most rappers.  Shaka had to embrace who he was from his looks to his style.  It was a journey but Shaka has fully embraced who He is.  Shaka loves himself and with his music and larger than life personality, he motivates people to do the same.  We are all different and that's what makes us beautiful.   Check out Shaka D.
