Don’t let your menstrual cycle dictate your training with Dr Hazel Wallace

32m · Published 28 Nov 13:01

Hazel Wallace is a medical doctor, nutritionist, women’s health advocate and founder of ‘Align’ a 10-week online program demystifying the menstrual cycle.

We asked you for your menstrual cycle questions and in this conversation Steph puts them to Hazel: how much pain is normal? Why does my period change after having a baby? Is it normal that my period is brown?

Hazel also challenges commonly held beliefs that we need to train differently while we’re on our period and that staying on the Pill for a long of time causes infertility.

Check out ‘Align’ here: https://www.thefoodmedic.co.uk/i-am-ready-to-align

32m · Published 21 Nov 13:01

Jayneen Sanders is a mum of three, author and educator. Her childrens' books teach kids about body boundaries, respect, consent, body safety, feelings and emotions. In this important conversation, Steph asks Jayneen about the importance of calling ‘private parts’ by their proper names, what age to start these conversations with kids, and the skills Jayneen teaches kids including creating a list of trusted adults that they can come to in case anything happens.
