In this episode I speak with Tamsin Grainger, teacher and practitioner of Shiatsu. We discuss the importance of human touch, how to know when you are in need of incorporating more touch into your life as well as the mental health benefits of touch. 

Tamsin is a member of the Shaitsu Society UK, and registrant of the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Counsel (CNHC). Further, Tamsin is the author of her first book ("Death and Loss in Shiatsu Practice/A Guide to Holistic Bodywork in Palliative Care.") 

In this episode, we talk about that very over-used phrase "be nice." Oh yeah, there's also "kindness is cool" and a ton of other iterations of those phrases. And I'm here to talk about what it really means to be "nice," how overusing these terms can be extremely detrimental (to all beings but especially women in our society), and why we need to get more specific about what we really mean (no pun intended). In this episode, I discuss needs and what it means to have them, especially as women. I talk about the limiting beliefs that we have surrounding our needs and how thar consequently leads us to suppress them. I then discuss how we can begin to identify our needs and bring them out into the world.
