The Truth About Social Media with Ali Damron
46m · PublishedToday on Far From Perfect, I’ve got my friend Ali Damron back on the pod and we are talking about the truth of social media and how it affects us. Listen we are just as guilty as you with social media and our phones , granted it’s the business we are both in, but still we find ourselves scrolling at ungodly hours too. Just know this isn’t a right/wrong thing. We just want you to be fully aware of the information that is out there and how it’s making you feel. We talk about famous people, influencers, coaches, no one is safe. We did this because we do want you to be more aware. We talk about dopamine and even challenge you to try and not look at your phone at a stoplight!! Can you do it??? This is a necessary topic and should be listened to by all.

37m · PublishedToday on the podcast I’m finally talking with Beth Feraco, who is an online nutrition and strength coach. We are talking about cutting the crap, how fear sells & boring, basic evidence based information doesn’t always get the hits and the followers.
Beth shares what tools her most successful clients implement and reminds us how important it is to use data to track, and if you’re not weighing daily or monthly, don’t bother weighing at all. Use your picture and your measurements to track your progress.
We discuss women and age and how in order to get results you’ve got to get in the gym, as a runner she has never seen a change in her body except when strength training. I also ask her what she is loving in our industry right now and what she wishes would go away hint, fear mongering. You’re going to love her as much as I do.
If you want to work with Beth and her team You can find Beth on Instagram & TikTok @bethferacofitness
She also has a podcast called Cut The Crap, wherever you listen to your podcasts.

45m · PublishedThe 4 Pillars of Goal Achievement with Coach Mike Millner
49m · PublishedToday on Far From Perfect, I have for the second time Coach Mike Millner on what it takes to change. He owns Pop Nutrition and has a podcast called Mind Over Macros. We are going to dive into his 4 Pillars of Goal Achievement, which are
1. Physical
2. Willpower
3. iOS
4. Future Self
I recently heard Mike speak at a coaching event and this was by far my favorite one. I also believe that when someone has actually gone through all the things(chronic diet, body dysmorphia, orthorexia) you know they've done the work. We talk about both of our journeys and we go into detail about the 4 Pillars above. When it comes down to it, the nutrition and the working out are the easy part, its the mindset shift. When the conditions stay the same, but your behavior changes then there is progress! Celebrating when bad shit DOESN'T happen.
I think you guys are going to love this as much as I did. You can find Mike by listening to his podcast - Mind Over Macros(whatever platform you listen to your podcasts) and he's on instagram @coach_mike_millner

Why you might *think* you're only eating 1200 or 1500 calories, but you're not.
What you need to do to actually maintain in maintenance.
Why I am prioritizing teaching about maintenance over perimenopause.

59m · PublishedToday on the podcast I'm talking with my friend Joe Eiben, this is his fourth time on the podcast. We are talking about polarity in fitness and nutrition. I just love Joe and his perspective on all things. Joe is a Psychotherapist, Professional Coach, Holistic Nutritionist, Writer and yogi.
We dive into how our cultural is living with anxiety and overwhelm as a base and we can't exhale. We are at war from an internal and external standpoint and it's due to a lack of meaningful connection with others. We can't eliminate it, we have to figure out how to work around it. We have to have a lot of patience and grace with ourselves.
We talk about steps to help ourselves and the first is acceptance of yourself, second is to act like the person you want to be, and most importantly try not to over complicate things. This is an amazing conversation, Joe is so insightful and knowledgeable and I think you're going to love it and relate to it. When we know better, we can do better and embrace what we can control and have a say in.
If you want to work with Joe, the best place to do so is his website and you can find that HERE. (joeeiben.com)
