Ep. 97 Death Bed aka A Twilight prequel

1h 2m · Published 24 May 22:56

Death Bed: The Bed That Eats...well it was an accurate title. We enjoyed this bizarre, surrealist romp through the 1970’s. Listen as we discuss weird skeleton hands, Jen’s potential Nobel Prize, and how this bed needs to learn how to pace himself and his meals. Also, what are the powers of this bed? Who knows. Rate and subscribe or we’ll feed you to the Death Bed.

Stats/info: 1977, directed by George Barry, starring Demene Hall, William Russ, Julie Ritter, Linda Bond, Rosa Luxemburg, and Dave Marsh.

Ep. 96 Pulse aka When digital dementors attack

1h 28m · Published 17 May 19:31

Welcome to the ETHER...NET. Well...what the fork was this forking piece of garbage movie? We watch 2006’s, “Pulse” and it sucked the life right out of us just like the digital dementors did to the cast of this early 2000’s POS. Join us as we discuss soul searching yourself before you do it for others, mysterious mom phone calls, and how Molly finds out the hard truth that Jen is a no crust b*tch. Be sure to rate and subscribe or we’ll release a techno virus on the internet.

Stats/info: 2006, directed Jim Sanzero, starring Kristen Bell, Ian Somerhaderl, Christina Milian, Rick Gonzalez, and Samm Levine

Ep. 95 Annabelle aka You gotta pay the soul toll

1h 49m · Published 10 May 21:15

First of all, we miss Jiffy Pop. Second of all, we need to talk about Annabelle, the demon, and who and what is doing the haunting around here. We discuss Chekov’s sewing needle, baby jails, and Peaky Blinders’ doll shrine. Romance is in the air for both of us, because Molly is smitten and flustered by “boring” John and Jen is jealous of a character from a fictional TV show. Rate and review, or we’ll send our American Girl dolls after you.

Stats/info: 2014, directed by John R. Leonetti, written by Gary Dauberman, starring Annabelle Wallis, Ward Horton, and Alfre Woodard.

Ep. 94 Rubber aka Still a better love story than Twilight

1h 45m · Published 03 May 15:34

In the biggest crossover since the Avengers, we’re jazzed to have Drinking and Screaming here to talk Rubber! Was this movie completely bizarre? YES. Did we all thoroughly enjoy it? ALSO YES. Despite being told not to look for reason in this movie, boy did we. And boy did we fail at finding reason. Don’t worry, we also get off track several times - this episode is also full of cactus talk, Molly’s fear of hotel beds, and how dangerous turkeys (and ducks) are. Be sure to rate and subscribe or we’ll send an angry tire, excuse me, tricycle, after you...

Stats/info: 2010, directed Quentin Dupieux, starring Stephen Spinella, Roxane Mesquida, Jack Plotnick, Haley Ramm, Wings Hauser, Ethan Cohn

Ep. 93 Doom aka Why won’t people stop f***ing with Mars?

1h 3m · Published 26 Apr 19:09

It’s the final installment in our space horror movie adventure and we’re both in agreement that we went out with a bang because 2005’s “Doom” was not that bad. We both enjoyed this film for what it was, a mid-2000’s movie based on a video game with a pretty famous cast. Join us as we discuss why future generations insist on exploring Mars when it never pans out well, Jen’s passionate support of Barry Pepper, and how this movie dips into Alien’s script every now and then. Be sure to rate and subscribe otherwise we’ll make you take a space bubble to Mars and defeat humanoid creatures.

Stats/info: 2005, directed by Andrzej Bartkowiak, starring Dwyane Johnson, Karl Urban, Rosamund Pike, Richard Drake, Razaaq Adoti, Ben Daniels, Al Weaver, DeObia Oparei, and Dexter Fletcher

Ep. 92 Jason X aka The 69th Sense

1h 10m · Published 19 Apr 17:47

Well, at least this movie was better than Leprechaun 4. We can confirm that while this is not the best Friday the 13 movie, however it is definitely not the worst. Jason spends most of this film wandering around in mild confusion over the layout of the ship, holographic monsters, and (we assume) the general bizarre fashion trends of this time period. We would also like to take this opportunity to offer you a bribe of 1 ha’penny to rate and subscribe

Stats/info: 2001, directed by Jim Isaac, written by Todd Farmer, starring Lexa Doig, Lisa Ryder, Chuck Campbell and Kane Hodder.

Ep. 91 Leprechaun 4: In Space aka The episode you find out which Jonas brother we are

1h 28m · Published 12 Apr 22:20

Nothing makes Jen more angry than this movie. Well, alright there are a handful of other things that make her mad but this week’s episode, “Leprechaun 4: In Space” makes her hulk out of her human skin into her true demon form. We get really distracted in this episode y'all so buckle up. Join us as we find out which Jonas brother we are, which wife of Henry VIII we are, and Jen’s love feud with Mile Cyrus. Make sure to rate and subscribe otherwise you’ll be in charge of feeding Dr. Mittenhand, I mean Mittenspider, his daily flies.

Stats/info: 1997, directed by Brian Trenchard-Smith, starring Warwick Davis, Jessica Collins, Brent Jasmer, Rebekah Carlton, and Guy Siner

Ep. 90 Event Horizon aka The Trials and Tribulations of Baby Bear Justin 5

1h 20m · Published 05 Apr 17:23

Welcome to our first week of space horror! We did not enjoy this movie - so many questions, so few answers. What’s up with Sam Neill? Why is Justin called Baby Bear? Is time passing differently in the hell dimension? Please give us some answers other than just explaining that the ship went somewhere. Rate and subscribe or we’ll open up a spooky hell dimension.

Stats/info: 1997, Paul W. S. Anderson and written by Philip Eisner, starring Laurence Fishburne, Sam Neill, Kathleen Quinlan and Joely Richardson.

Ep. 89 Orphan aka Little orphan Esther

1h 30m · Published 29 Mar 23:06

Week three of creepy kids is comin’ in hot. We watched 2009’s, “Orphan.” This movie has a pretty good Shyamalan twist and many, many disturbing things. Join us as we talk about the sweet angel Max, Esther’s weird choice of attire, and how terrible everyone is. Be sure to rate and subscribe otherwise we’ll make you put a pigeon out of its misery.

Stats/info: 2009 directed by Jaume Collet-Serra, starring Vera Farmiga, Peter Sarsgaard, C.C.H Pounder, Isabelle Fuhrman, Aryana Engineer, and Jimmy Bennett

Ep. 88 Children of the Corn aka With a corn cob knife and some adult foes, it’s He Who Walks Behind the Rows

1h 11m · Published 22 Mar 21:06

If you wanted a movie with creepy kids, boy does this one have them in spades. Where did Isaac come from? Why is Sarah psychic? How has no one come to this town in the last few years? Who knows. Jen does her impression of Isaac for over an hour, so get ready for that. This week we also talk corn graffiti, sign switcheroos, and angsty teenagers who love corn and hate Monopoly.

Stats/info: 1984, directed by Fritz Kiersch, starring Peter Horton, Linda Hamilton, John Franklin, Courtney Gains, Robby Kiger, Anne Marie McEvoy, Julie Maddalena, and R. G. Armstrong
