86. Feeling ANGRY? Tips For Moving Through It

There's a lot of pissed-off-ness going on in the world right now.

The storm is raging inside many people's hearts.

But anger gets a bad rep.

Sometimes life doesn't go the way we thought it would and we get upset when that happens.

Sometimes, unjust things happen and we feel outraged at the experience.

Sometimes we make choices that we didn't feel were really a choice (even though they were) that cause us to abandon our truth in an attempt to please the "other", and we're left with resentment.

When we feel angry and don't have healthy ways of expressing ourselves, we bottle it up and then explode.

Anger is a healthy emotion that we get to feel as part of the human experience.

It's what we DO with our anger that makes all the difference.

You have to feel it to heal it, my friend.

(and in this episode, I guide you through an inner child exercise where we release our anger and reframe the stories in our mind).

And the best (also slightly annoying) part? We can choose to feel our anger and release it, or we can choose to bottle it up and burn from the inside out.

But the choice is ours to make.

This sweet soul and I connected a year ago to date, but it feels as if we've known each other for decades.

Michelle is a well-being counsellor, yoga and meditation teacher, CEO of SyNK yxe, a dedicated dog mama, avid adventurer and one of the most beautiful friends I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing. I am so thrilled to share this conversation with you.

Every once in awhile, an extra special woman enters my awareness and I make a point to connect.

This started like that.

I had seen Amy's name float across my Instagram, and when I felt the little intuitive nudge that I know (and trust) all too well, I reached out and started a conversation.

"I just have this feeling, want to be friends?"

Or something like that lol.

We connected over my intuitive hit to message her and then proceeded to have the most intuitively guided, gorgeous conversation about... you guessed it, intuition.

82. Breathing To Self Regulate Emotions with Meghan Sandve

The simplest things in life are often overlooked, simply because we think effectiveness = complication.

But what I've found, and I know today's guest Meghan Sandve would agree, is that the power can be found in the simple truths of the present moment.

One of those powerful things is the breath.

This is single-handedly our most underutilized tool for creating the energy and emotions we wish to have.

"We move energy with breath, movement and sound."

Need more energy? Speed up your breathing.

Need to calm down? Slow down your breathing.

Need to ground yourself? Hum on the exhale.

Need to release tension? Sigh audibly on the exhale.

"It was under my nose this whole time" takes on an entirely new meaning lol!
