EPISODE 109: Unlocking what holds us back- Missed and Met Opportunities

57m · Published 05 Apr 11:20

This week we tackle missed and met opportunities on We Go Boldly. We spend time diving into what risk taking really means and how we can and should stay open to possibilities. Discussions surround whether or not we can unlock what is holding us back without examining our own fear and self doubt.

We dive into how taking educated risks creates space and freedom in our lives. We also spend time discussing how clinging to outcomes is ultimately a practice that makes us smaller and more limited. The alternative is being open to the process and experience. Creating a feeling of being present in our situation and lives in order to fully embrace our potential.

Join us as we talk about all of this and more on this episode of We Go Boldly. Share what risks you are taking right now to expand your life and possibilities.

Don’t forget to follow us and rate and review us!

GO BOLDLY HOMEWORK

  1. Take a positive risk.  Make it calculated but also make it risky! Take that leap.
  2. Join our Weekly Women’s Circle (it's a risk!)

EPISODE 108: Unlocking what holds us back- Say No to Say Yes

1h 0m · Published 29 Mar 14:56

“When you say ‘Yes’ to others, make sure you are not saying ‘No’ to yourself.” ― Paolo Coehlo

Do you make sure you say no enough?  Why do we all feel the need to yes? In today’s episode Rielly and Tovah dive into why we say yes, even when we want to say no.  When we say yes to everything we are often saying no to ourselves. We do it for a variety of reasons but either way saying no when we mean no can leave us resentful, angry, and exhausted.

What can we do about it? A whole lot actually.  We can start saying no more often and set good boundaries.  We can be straightforward and direct and it can be freeing.

Let's dive into this topic together as we figure out how the word no can really be a big yes!

Don’t forget to follow us and rate and review us!

GO BOLDLY HOMEWORK

  1. Join our Weekly Women’s Circle to find the support you need to know when to say no or yes.
  2. At some point in the next week, when someone asks you to do something or you ask yourself to do something, say no. Sit with the no. Journal out any feelings you have about saying no. Wash rinse and repeat forever.

GO BOLDLY HOMEWORK

  1. Time for some journaling.  Pick a goal or dream you want to manifest or an area where you feel stuck. Get in touch with your thoughts. Start writing down everything that comes to you. Don’t edit anything. Don’t dismiss anything. It all matters.  Write until you have nothing left. You might be drained. Your mind should be quiet. Look back over what you wrote. Highlight every negative thought – everything that is the opposite of what you want to create, every complaint, every criticism – all of it. Do a deep dive into those negative thoughts.

EPISODE 106: Unlocking what is holding us back with David Echevarria

1h 0m · Published 01 Mar 05:00

This season on We Go Boldly we will walk through what holds us back from living our best lives and doing all the things we dream about doing. Today we are broadening our own horizons and talking to an incredible guest and new friend to the show. Welcome David Echevarria!

David is the Founder and CEO of VPT.FIT.   While in college, along with 3 friends David started a Youtube channel sharing our workouts, offering advice and guidance to others. That channel grew to over 150,000 subscribers. He graduated with a Bachelors of Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology in 2014. His focus of study was in body mechanics.

After college, he moved on from Youtube and worked as an engineer for 3.5 years in various industries. While employed, I always had side projects that I was working on with varying levels of success. My wife and I partnered up in 2016 and grew our wellness practice to where we were able to quit our jobs in 2019. They still run this today.

The pandemic hit shortly after and put us through many ups and downs. During that time is when they started VPT.FIT. It was initially a free service to help people who were stuck in their homes during lockdown, but it was a success and has grown since then!

Today, VPT.FIT is The Online Gym That FITS YOU! They provide custom workouts built to each individual, and we use technology and innovation to provide efficiency and innovation.

We are so excited to have David join us today! Check him out.

1h 8m · Published 22 Feb 05:00

What would you do if you had no limits? Can you imagine an unlimited universe? What happens if you let go of expectations and let the universe take control?

Imagine a world where we take away all the thoughts, fears, and experiences that limit our lives and we create space to grow, take risks, empower ourselves, become our true selves.

This is the world we want to create with you. Join Tovah and Rielly as we discuss how to embrace the limitless life we’ve always dreamed of.

GO BOLDLY HOMEWORK

THROWBACK to EPISODE 30: Practicing Acceptance

59m · Published 18 Jan 05:00

Its way back Wednesday when we highlight one of our favorite episodes. This episode we focus on practicing acceptance from the perspective of empathy.  Acceptance is hard. Acceptance means embracing reality. It is a willingness to experience things as they are, instead of insisting that they be as you want them to be.

It is only with acceptance that we can truly embrace change and practice empathy. Acceptance allows you to move on instead of being perpetually stuck in a quagmire of “should haves” and “would haves”.

We reflect on our  own hesitancy with acceptance and the steps we can take to achieve it.  As with everything else, acceptance takes continue practice and hard work.

Join us for this week and we can do the hard work to build collective empathy.

GO BOLDLY HOMEWORK

  1. Journal time: Where in your life could you be more accepting? EIther inwardly or outwardly?
  2. Journal time: Think back to a time when you were not accepting?  How would it have been easier and so how can you apply it to your life today?
  3. Check our Instagram stories for some mediation suggestions. If you’re up to it, share with us on social.

THROWBACK to EPISODE 53: What is faith?

1h 3m · Published 11 Jan 05:00

When we first recorded this episode it kicked off our Faith and Transformation season. We spent the episode talking about the meaning and definition of faith. Now that we are replaying old episodes to kick off the New Year, they are taking on additional meaning and space in our podcast lineup. As we move into 2023 we are reflecting on motivation, goal setting, systems, and pursuing our purpose. What does that have to do with faith?

When we decide to set goals, make changes, or plan for the future we have to take risks, whether small or large. All of that requires a leap of faith in some way or another. Understanding the basis of faith, looking at the role it plays in our lives, and how we can renew and grow our faith will help us on our journey.

Check out Episode 53, What is Faith, and don't forget to share, rate, review and subscribe while you are there.

GO BOLDLY HOMEWORK

  1. This season we are going to ask you to push your personal boundaries a bit. Not to distress, but maybe to a bit of discomfort. Grab a pen and a journal and dig in. Answer each of the following questions with the first thought that comes to mind
    1. Do you feel a sense of faith?
    2. Where do you feel it in your body?
    3. Is your faith connected to a place?
    4. How do you maintain your connection to god, the universe, the world at large? Is it easy, hard or somewhere in between?
  2. Put your answers down for now. Come back and re-read later. Share some with us in the comments to our insta post of this episode. Let us know how you experience faith in your everyday life. @goboldlytogether
