15m · PublishedIn the postpartum season, there are many things out of our control. Especially the first few months. This includes the babies feeding, sleeping, and elimination schedule. The baby you just birthed will flip the routine you once had. Sorry Mama, just keeping it 100. However, you can support your recovery process. Nourishment in the form of consumption of wholesome foods and proper hydration can be supported. Physical and mental rest can be managed to an extent. Lastly, mental clarity and energy can be balanced to a degree.
Today I want to share with you what I am doing to support a thriving experience practically. This includes meeting the needs of my healing body, the demand for producing milk that flows and is nourishing for the baby, and the demand for natural energy, despite the inevitable loss of sleep at this time. Just as the baby has a period where they must recover from exiting the birth canal and learn how to integrate into a new environment, mothers should too. Pregnancy and giving birth are extremely strenuous mentally and physically. Athletes traditionally prepare the night before a competition with specialized nutrition, proper hydration, and adequate rest and support. Similarly, mothers in postpartum must share that same mindset and practice to thrive and support their best lives in the postpartum season and beyond.

031. Living Healthfully: Surviving and Thriving in Pregnancy
21m · Published030. Build Your House: Professional Nutrition Support
12m · PublishedA healthy lifestyle is established in the home. Naturally, our habits are built upon the culture of those whom we live with, may the habits be fruitful or detrimental to our health. While the culture of my home growing up was not perfect, regular meal times, a balanced plate, and desserts at low frequency helped to instill habits that serve my health fruitfully today. Not to mention the value of exercise, beginning as a child and young adult in the form of athletics (organized sport) and continuing with fitness into adulthood.
Unfortunately, not every culture was as positive. In addition, as imperfect beings, we may depart from the ways that blessed us. The good news is, as adults, women on the move, whether single, married, or with growing families, we can rebuild, improve, or maintain habits that will serve us a lifetime. Not to mention the generation to follow.
Whether you are working on establishing new healthful habits or improving upon them, this must commence by building your house appropriately. Sometimes to best support building your house appropriately to establish and keep healthful habits requires additional outside professional support. Today, I will share for those who are new, who I am and what I provide professionally within the realm of nutrition through Wholly Nurtured Holistic Health & Nutrition Education. Stay tuned.

029. Cultivating a Christ Centered Ministry: 5 Lessons from Esther
18m · PublishedI am excited to share a new message with you today. In today’s episode I will share how we can operate in actionable faith in our personal ministries through the story of Esther. While the book of Esther is short and is one of two books in the Bible specifically sharing the story about a woman, Esther, this book is not short in purpose or power. However, this book displays God’s sovereignty despite the circumstances we may face and both the positive and detrimental power of human will. It is a story where a God given opportunity was presented and seized by a woman who took delight in the Lord, Esther.
To cultivate a Christ centered ministry, we must courageously commit to taking delight in the Lord. What does taking delight in the Lord look like given the story of Esther? How can we hinder the ministry or platform God has entrusted us with? Stay tuned as I share five ways Esther seized her God given opportunity that brought salvation to her people, those who converted to the faith, and to us today.

028. Build Your House: Building Light, Leafy, & Liquid Meals
11m · PublishedWhether you are working on establishing new healthful habits or improving upon, this must commence by building your house appropriately. Last week I discussed how pantry and exercise staples have served me as I improve my health and maintain my fitness. Today, I will first share the concept of light, liquid, and leafy meal day and how to build a day as such for the purposes of building a lean body. In part 2 through my Youtube channel, I will share one move that significantly supports a lean body, the purpose for a day where light, liquid, and leafy meal templates can be most successful.
I’ve dedicated both my personal life and professional career as a health advocate with greater emphasis in fitness and nutrition. You can trust that what I share will produce as Proverbs 3:8 proclaims, health to your body and nourishment to your bones.
