Pick Your Tribe Wisely

Who do you want to become? There’s a saying that we are the average of the top 5 people we spend the majority of our time with - are those people in your life serving you and your goals?


In this solo episode, I am giving an update on my life and my recent thoughts about the importance of who we surround ourselves with. If you have anyone in your life - or on your social media feed - that doesn’t make you feel supported, loved, and inspired, then they are not worth your time or energy. The people who produce the podcasts we listen to, post the social media content that we consume, and write the books that we read, are all people who play a part in our personal growth journey.

Shea joins me to talk about our individual perspectives of our family, her unique background, how the 2009 stock market crash impacted her, and where she is today. Turning the Worst Day of My Life Into a Blessing

Are you grieving? While the pain of loss never truly goes away, we owe it to ourselves to begin healing and embrace our own life. 


In this solo episode, I am talking about the difficult emotions that come up every year on February 9th, or as I refer to it, “D-Day.” 11 years ago on February 9th, the love of my life passed away unexpectedly. Every year since then, this day has brought a mixed bag of emotions and it has taken a lot of self work to get to the mindset I am in today. Throughout this episode, I talk about my healing process over the past 11 years, how I have changed my perspective on life, and what not to say to those that are grieving. I hope this episode helps at least one person who is struggling and I encourage you to share this episode with anyone who may find comfort in my story.

Falling In Love With Yourself

In the spirit of Valentine’s Day, it’s time to talk about love, self love. 


In this solo episode, I am talking about my mindset around being single and having self love. Whether you are single, dating, married, or divorced, the most important relationship is the one with yourself. Many people rely on their partner to be the source of happiness and joy, when really you can never truly be happy with someone else if you aren’t happy with yourself. Throughout this episode I talk about my mindset as a fearless, single, fifty-year old, why it’s important not to judge others' relationship decisions, my advice for those unhappy in their relationships, and how your life can change when you fall in love with yourself.
