Feeding The Family

by Dr Kristin Saxena

Welcome to Feeding the Family with Dr. Kristin where we help you navigate the challenges of feeding your family and learn about the role food plays in our health and relationships. Feeding and food relationships can be stressful, confusing, and even destructive. I am a pediatrician and mother of four who has been researching and sharing what I have learned about feeding for over 10 years. In this podcast, I’ll share my experience and expertise to help our kids (and ourselves!) with everyday survival tips for real parents. This podcast is about progress, not perfection.

Back to School Tips

13m · Published 15 Aug 09:00

Back to school. Those are the 3 words that parents love (and dread) every year.  Summer break is over and it’s a fresh start for kids, and parents, as school is back in session.  Dr. Kristin shares her back to school tips to help parents with kids going to school this fall.  The excitement is high, the emotions run high, so it’s important for parents to know what to expect, how to prepare, and how to handle the situation.

This is a very stressful time for kids too, as they are experiencing gigantic shifts in their routines, a brand new group of new friends and classmates, and a shift away from the laid back and pressure free Summer months.  In this episode we’ll learn how to get you and the kids ready for the first day of school, so that back to school 2022 is the best year yet!
