For this episode, I had the opportunity to sit down with Darleen Santor, better known as Coach Dar (@thecoachdar). As a Board Certified Occupational Therapist, business executive, speaker and survivor of multiple strokes, she is passionate about helping people break through barriers to achieve their goals. 

She blends a knowledge of science, psychology and achievement with her personal passion for life and her clients range from Fortune 100 executives, artists, professional athletes, to high school and college students as well as large organizations. Coach Dar was awarded Most Inspiring Woman from WNBA, is the United States Ambassador for Global Pay it Forward Day, and is the mental conditioning coach for the Phoenix Suns.

24:47- Allie has been to 23 countries at 22 years old! Allie explains how you can travel often without it being so expensive: hostels!

28:51- Allie’s biggest mistake: doing touristy things. Don’t hire a tour guide to take you places. Google before you go! Find travel blogs!

51:27 Recognizing that YOU can create your own happiness. Take little pieces of things you love. Change your environment. Find joy in the simple pleasures.

54:31- What is Allie really excited about? Graduating from college soon! She will soon be working in the Dominican Republic with high school youth.

57:30- What are the ingredients of a fulfilling life? Allie: “Community. You need people around you who are going to push you and make you think differently and experience the world through a different lens. Let your cup run over with love. Have people in your life that love you and lift you up, because if you don’t have this- what do you have?”
