444: HS Coach Arrested For Creating Deep Fake Porno With Childrens Faces | True Crime Daily Brief

2m · Published 08 Sep 15:00
A former high school lacrosse coach, 44, was arrested for allegedly using photo editing software to place the faces of minors on pornographic images of youngsters.

The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children apparently tipped off the Massachusetts State Police, who began monitoring Ryan Cook's residence and online activity after receiving a report from WCVB-TV. Multiple photographs of alleged child pornography were allegedly discovered in his possession.

According to reports, police conducted a search warrant at Cook's residence on August 30 and took electronic devices as evidence. There was a claim that the youngsters depicted in the photos were between the ages of five and eleven.

According to state police, as quoted by WCVB: "In some of these photographs, the children were positioned in a sexual suggestive way and/or were being sexually attacked."

Photoshopped images of women superimposed over child pornography were also purportedly discovered by investigators. Two girls from his neighborhood were allegedly depicted in the manipulated images, according to WCVB.

Allegedly, Cook was detained and accused with having pornographic images of minors on his person. It was reported by Mass Live that he was released after posting bail in the amount of $10,000. However, the prosecution has asked that $100,000 be established as bail for Cook.

According to reports, Cook volunteered his time to instruct lacrosse at Wellesley High School for boys.

According to a statement obtained by WCVB, the school system acknowledged that "Wellesley Public Schools is aware that a Wellesley resident, who had previously served as a volunteer with our WHS Boy's Lacrosse team, has been charged with possession of child pornography by the Massachusetts State Police."

In court, you can expect to see Cook on September 30.

444: Man On Meth Goes On Motor Murder Spree | True Crime Podcast

2m · Published 07 Sep 15:00
A 47-year-old man is suspected of being high on methamphetamine when he stole a police car and led authorities on a chase.

An officer with the Poteet Police Department had his automobile rear-ended on Sunday, September 4 at around 6 p.m., according to a press release from the Atascosa County Sheriff's Office. Officer chased down suspect who had run into him, then suspect allegedly slammed police car from front again.

The Sheriff's Department said that the police cruiser had broken down, and that bystanders had assisted the officer in getting out of the vehicle.

Police reportedly gave chase to the man, later identified as Reynaldo Ruiz, and caught him after a short foot chase.

The Sheriff's Office claims that after being handcuffed and placed in the backseat of a Poteet Police Department vehicle, Ruiz escaped. A second attempt to detain Ruiz failed after he apparently jumped into a police car and sped off in the direction of a fire engine and its occupants.

According to reports, a trooper fired three rounds into Ruiz's stolen police cruiser out of fear that he was about to hit a firetruck.

Before continuing down Main Street in Pleasanton, Ruiz allegedly changed lanes and narrowly avoided colliding with a passing motorist. Due to the suspect's attempts to endanger other officers and the public, a deputy sheriff opened fire on him as he drove north on Main Street, the sheriff's office reports.

According to reports, Ruiz eventually crashed into another police vehicle and was subsequently tased. Sheriff's officials said that after Ruiz was taken to the hospital, he was arrested on two charges of aggravated assault on a peace officer with a deadly weapon and one count of felony escape.

According to the Sheriff's Office, Ruiz indicated in an interview that he intended to strike "as many police cars and cops as he could." The long "Methamphetamine binge" that Ruiz admitted to is another admission of guilt.

443: Abducted Jogger Found Dead | Breaking News

4m · Published 06 Sep 21:08
After a days-long search, a 34-year-old teacher who was allegedly kidnapped while on the run was apparently found dead this week.

The Memphis Police Department was summoned at 7:45 a.m. on Sept. 2 to help the University of Memphis Police Department in identifying a missing person, Eliza "Liza" Fletcher. Fletcher was jogging at Central and Zach Curlin around 4:20 a.m. when a "unknown man approached her" and "forced" her into an SUV, according to Memphis Police.

Cleotha Abston, 38, was arrested two days later on accusations of exceptionally aggravated kidnapping and tampering with evidence, but Fletcher remained missing. During the investigation, Cleotha's brother, Mario Abston, was reportedly detained on drug charges, but he is "not believed to be involved to Fletcher's kidnapping."

According to inmate records, Abston is also charged with identity theft, tampering with/faking evidence, theft of property, and fraudulent use/illegal possession of a credit/debit card.

On Tuesday, September 6, Memphis Police said they discovered Fletcher's body in the 1600 block of Victor Street and charged Abston with first-degree murder and first-degree murder in the commission of kidnapping, in addition to the other criminal charges he faces.

In a press conference on Tuesday, Memphis Police Chief Cerelyn Davis and other law enforcement officials said that Fletcher's remains had been discovered in an abandoned duplex in South Memphis. According to WREG-TV Abston was allegedly spotted cleaning out his black SUV near where Fletcher was discovered.

During the press conference, Davis stated that detectives "haven't obtained very much information" from Abston during questioning.

According to the Memphis Commercial Appeal, Fletcher was a junior kindergarten teacher at St. Mary's Episcopal School and previously taught at Promise Academy in Nashville. Her spouse, Richard Fletcher III, and she have two children. He reported her missing after she did not return from her run a few hours later.

According to the Commercial Appeal's affidavit, Fletcher was running on the University of Memphis campus when a black GMC Terrain drove by her and paused, waiting for her to pass.

According to the affidavit, "A male left the black GMC Terrain, raced aggressively at the victim, and then forced Eliza Fletcher into the vehicle's passenger side. There looked to be a fight throughout this kidnapping."

Abston was released from prison in November 2020 after serving a 24-year sentence for aggravated abduction.

Fletcher's grandpa, Joseph "Joe" Orgill III, controlled a large hardware distribution empire, according to WREG.

In a statement, Fletcher's family said, "This terrible loss has broken our hearts and devastated us. Liza brought excitement to everyone she met, including her family, friends, colleagues, students, parents, members of her Second Presbyterian Church congregation, and everyone else who knew her.

Now is the moment to remember and celebrate how amazing she was, as well as to assist those who loved her so deeply. We are grateful for all of the messages of love and care that have been sent our way. We are eternally grateful to local, state, and federal law enforcement for their persistent efforts to find Liza and bring the perpetrator of this heinous act to justice.

We hope that everyone, especially media representatives, understands the family's need to grieve privately and without outside interference during this difficult time."

440: Abused 99 Year-Old-Grandma's Body Still Missing | True Crime Daily Brief

2m · Published 06 Sep 14:00
Police are appealing to the public for assistance in locating a missing 99-year-old woman who they believe was murdered and then abandoned in the mountains.

The West Valley City Police Department issued a statement encouraging people to search the area for evidence related to Maren Carlson's disappearance, especially now that autumn and hunting season are approaching, two popular times that "bring more Utahns to the mountains."

Garman Shaun Cunningham, Carlson's grandson, police believe, murdered her and "disposed" of her body in the mountainous area.

According to West Valley Police, on November 12, 2021, a woman called 911 to report that she had escaped after her husband, Cunningham, held her hostage in her home. Cunningham allegedly told the unnamed woman that he killed Carlson, who lived in their home.

According to KSL-TV, the woman claimed Cunningham "beat her, cut her with knives, burned her with cigarettes, and cut her with broken glass."

He allegedly strangled her "multiple times during her captivity," handcuffed her to a chair, threatened her with a gun, and strangled her "multiple times during her captivity."

Cunningham allegedly shot his gun inside the house before fleeing with a sword when police arrived to arrest him. He was eventually pursued and apprehended by a K-9.

According to court documents cited by KSL, Cunningham allegedly tried to smother Carlson before beating her. He allegedly caused her head to "cave in" and repeatedly threw her down the stairs. He is also accused of stabbing her with a piece of her broken walker and a steak knife.

During the investigation, West Valley Police said detectives believe Cunningham dumped Carlson's body near the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest near SR 150 or SR 35. Several law enforcement agencies conducted searches for Carlson's body but were unable to locate her.

Cunningham was arrested in December 2021 for aggravated murder, aggravated kidnapping, obstructing justice, aggravated assault, and illegal discharge of a firearm, according to reports. He allegedly committed suicide while in custody in March 2022.

442: Poisoning The Porridge | True Crime Podcast

32m · Published 06 Sep 09:00
Creating a "party atmosphere in motels" was the method of operation for the woman convicted of sex trafficking.

A 44-year-old woman was recently given a prison term of little more than 17 years for sex trafficking minors across Northern California and southern Oregon.

After receiving information that a runaway female juvenile from Modesto, California, age 15, was possibly staying at a Motel 6 in Medford, Oregon on May 10, at around 5:13 a.m., police responded to the motel. It was stated that the adolescent went missing on April 29, 2019.

The missing girl, along with another female of the same age, Lucious James Roy, and Dawniel Santangelo, both of Stockton, California, were located in the room, according to the police.

The inquiry led detectives to believe that Roy and Santangelo conspired to traffic the "lost girl from California to Oregon, furnish her with marijuana, and engage her in prostitution," as police put it.

The United States Attorney for the Eastern District of California has stated that there were numerous victims. At trial, evidence revealed that between September 2018 and May 2019, "Santangelo enlisted teenage girls in Northern California and southern Oregon for prostitution. These girls were between the ages of 15 and 17. Santangelo threw parties in motels in Stockton and Salinas and plied the girls with wine and narcotics in order to get them to engage in sexual acts with random men."

They say she would put up advertising of the victims online and drive them to truck stops and motels where they would have sexual encounters with males for cash.

The Attorney General's Office announced Santangelo's sentence on three charges of child sex trafficking and one count of transferring a minor for the purpose of illegal sexual behavior on Monday, August 29. He was given a total of 17 years and seven months in prison.

Philip A. Talbert, the United States Attorney, issued a statement in which he said, "Santangelo's behavior in this instance was appalling. She was crucial in recruiting the girls into the plot by promising them freedom and enjoyment. Soon after she had them in her grasp, she put them to work, exploiting three young children over the course of more than nine months and hundreds of kilometers."

Roy pled guilty to conspiracy to participate in sex trafficking of a child and was given a sentence of 17 years and 7 months in prison on April 12, 2021, according to the Attorney's Office.

During a custody battle, a woman in Indiana was found guilty of poisoning her ex-oatmeal boyfriend's and then strangling him to death with his favorite tie.

A 42-year-old mother was convicted guilty of murdering her child's father last week by poisoning his porridge and strangling him with his favorite necktie.

According to the court documents, on Tuesday, August 23rd, Heidi Littlefield was convicted guilty of murder and two counts of conspiracy to commit murder.

On March 25, 2021, Littlefield, her daughter Logan Runyon, and Runyon's boyfriend, Robert James Walker, were all arrested in connection with the killing of Francis Kelly. The 22-year-old Runyon and the 29-year-old Walker were both charged with two counts of conspiracy to commit murder, while the murder case against Runyon was dropped.

Carmel Police say that on January 18, 2021, they responded to a death investigation at a residence in the 14000 block of Howe Drive, where they discovered Kelly dead. According to the autopsy results, he was murdered.

According to the Indianapolis Star, Kelly was murdered by Littlefield during a heated custody battle for their 2-year-old son. As part of her deal with the prosecution, Runyon testified against her mother at her trial. She admitted to participating in a plot to kill someone and was given a 26-year prison term as a result of her guilty plea.

Reports say that Littlefield paid Walker $2,500 to hire a hit man to kill Kelly, but that Walker and Runyon instead spent the money on drugs and other stuff.

According to Runyon's testimony, Littlefield instructed her to acquire fentanyl from Ohio drug dealers and then mix it with his oatmeal. The lady apparently also added some to his miso soup. Kelly was allegedly given fentanyl three times.

At Kelly's house, Littlefield and Runyon discovered him struggling for breath on January 14th, 2021. According to reports, Littlefield ordered Runyon to break his neck, but the latter was unable to do so due to the man's excessive bulk. In his room, Littlefield allegedly found his victim's favorite tie and used it as a makeshift noose.

He was found to have died of strangulation, according to the coroner.

WKRC-TV reports that Walker admitted to participating in a murder plot and pled guilty. A 10-year prison term was imposed against him.

The court has set Littlefield's sentencing for the month of October.

Mom gets 5 years for abandoning baby in hot bath

Last Monday, a 35-year-old lady was given a five-year prison sentence for abandoning her newborn daughter in hot water, resulting in severe burns.

According to court records from Wichita County, Texas, on August 25 Jessica Brashear was sentenced after pleading guilty to child endangerment. She will serve the remainder of her sentence in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, where she was given credit for 54 days already spent there.

The accusation against Brashear states that on June 29, 2017, she "failed to verify the water temperature" before placing her daughter in the bathtub. The indictment claims that Brashear's "failure to thrive" is the result of her "failure to voluntarily deliver the kid to a certified infant care facility provider" after she saw her daughter in the boiling water.

The youngster had second-degree burns all over her body, so she was taken to the hospital and then flown to the Parkland Burn Unit, according to KFDX/KJTL-TV. Her buttocks, legs, feet, and ankles made up 17% of her burned body, according to reports.

Brashear allegedly stated that she submerged her daughter in hot water after turning on both the hot and cold water taps to the baby tub. She says she pulled her kid out of the pool when she started making noises, but physicians are putting the time at just one or two minutes.

KFDX/KJTL state that the girl was 7 months old at the time of the event.

As for Brashear's other four kids, they've all been taken away from her. In 2005, she lost custody of her first kid after the father was accused of smearing feces on the infant's face. It has been stated that Brashear's then-boyfriend, who was a meth dealer, caused the removal of a kid born in 2007.

The child's health was questioned in 2010 due to rapid weight loss, three years later. And Brashear was found guilty of forgery around the same time.

Since she allegedly failed to appear in court in 2012, her fourth kid has been taken from her.

A former superintendent in Ohio is being accused of kidnapping four students.

Last week, a former school superintendent was arrested after he allegedly kidnapped two kids and offered them money to babysit his 4-year-old son.

On August 25, investigators from the Huntington Police Department, SWAT Team, Huntington Violent Crime/Drug Task Force, and the Barboursville Police Department arrested 59-year-old William Morrison III on two charges of kidnapping, as stated in a joint release.

Morrison, according to police in Huntington, "lured two children into his vehicle" on August 17. Both Morrison's Huntington home and his Barboursville flat were searched by investigators acting on search warrants.

Court filings obtained by WBNS-TV state that Morrison approached a boy and girl, ages 9 and 12, in his black SUV and offered them $20 to watch his child. After putting the kids in the car, Morrison allegedly pretended to check the tire and ordered the boy out. As soon as the child exited the vehicle, Morrison allegedly took off.

The youngster reportedly began sobbing and pleading with the driver to get her out of the vehicle. According to the accusation, Morrison doubled his babysitting fee from $100 to $200.

According to the documents, which are cited by NBC News, police said, "The male refused the girl's demands to be allowed out of the vehicle, but the girl was able to open a passenger door and flee the vehicle a few streets away."

The purported kidnapping did not result in any harm being done to either child.

It was reported in 2017 by the Columbus Dispatch that Morrison, the superintendent of the Hamilton Local School District in Columbus, Ohio, was fired after police discovered crack cocaine in his car. In exchange for his guilty plea, Morrison received a sentence of 180 days in jail, with 176 days suspended, for the misdemeanor offense of possession of a counterfeit controlled substance.

440: Woman Who Be-Headed BF's Mom To Stay Locked Up | True Crime Daily Brief

3m · Published 05 Sep 14:00
The Kansas Supreme Court upheld a woman's conviction and sentence for assaulting and beheading her ex-mother boyfriend's during an argument in 2017.

Rachael Hilyard's attorneys appealed her first-degree murder conviction on the grounds of "insufficient evidence to support premeditation, erroneous jury instruction, ineffective assistance of counsel, prosecutorial error, and the district court's abuse of discretion," according to the Kansas Supreme Court's 27-page judicial opinion.

The court, on the other hand, claimed that there was "sufficient evidence in the record to support a finding of premeditation." The same could be said for the other arguments her attorneys raised in court.

According to KAKE-TV Hilyard was found guilty and sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole after 50 years in September 2020. The Kansas Supreme Court referred to this as a "hard 50."

According to the high court's decision, the victim, 63-year-old Micki Davis, and her 9-year-old grandson, who is referred to as J.G. in the document, went to Hilyard's house in April 2017. The boy's parents were Hilyard and Davis' son, Jeremy Rush.

Hilyard allegedly called Davis and told her she needed to pick up Rush's personal items or she would leave them on the curb. When Davis arrived, she allegedly got into a fight with Hilyard, who pushed Davis from behind.

J.G., who witnessed the altercation, reportedly locked himself in his grandmother's truck. He then exited and dialed 911 from a neighbor's house. Wichita Police officers picked up J.G. and went to Hilyard's house, knocking on doors but receiving no response.

When one of the officers opened a garage door, he discovered "a female body near a large pool of blood."

"The body's head was missing," according to the statement.

The other officer entered the house and discovered Hilyard on the bathroom floor. They had her arrested. Officers "found Davis' head in the kitchen sink" while searching the house.

"two bloody kitchen knives from near Davis' body," according to crime scene investigators.

Davis' autopsy revealed bruising and fractured ribs, according to the coroner. Davis was stabbed in the neck, according to reports, and the coroner "was confident it was not just one uninterrupted cut through the neck."

The coroner reportedly believed Davis "was still breathing when her throat was cut" due to blood found in her lungs.

Sharp force injuries to the neck were determined to be the cause of death.

The evidence at the scene "suggested Davis was likely alive while being decapitated," according to the opinion.

Hilyard was initially ruled incompetent to stand trial, but after receiving treatment in a hospital, another competency exam determined she was fit to stand trial.

According to reports, Hilyard cut Davis' head off because "'things' told Hilyard she had little time and she needed to get Davis' head away from her body so her soul could get free and go to heaven."

442: Lot's Of Jail Sex With The Warden | True Crime Today

14-year-old Colorado girl SHOT while she was making a TikTok video.

A 14-year-old girl was shot and murdered while making a TikTok video; three persons, including two minors, have been arrested in connection with her killing.

The Monte Vista Police Department reports that at 3:30 p.m. on August 7, officers responded to a shooting call in the 300 block of Monroe Street and located a young female victim suffering from gunshot wounds. When emergency medical services arrived, they pronounced her dead.

The Monte Vista Police Department stated on August 11 that detectives had arrested two female adolescents for reckless manslaughter and possession of a weapon by juveniles. Another male, 21-year-old Emiliano Vargas, was arrested on charges of providing or allowing a minor to possess a pistol and failing to comply with the law regarding the secure storage of firearms. It has been said that he was the owner of the pistol used in the fatal shot but was not there at the time.

The affidavit states that the cops discovered the woman on the floor "with blood and other fluid" gushing out of her head. The police then reportedly discovered a pistol in a separate bedroom; the house where the shooting took place speculated that one of the two teens had hidden the weapon there after the incident. According to reports, Vargas and another minor shared the Monroe Street residence with his grandmother.

A minor was "informed that the juveniles were handling the gun and recording movies on 'TikTok,'" according to one of the two responding cops.

Officers were told by one of the minors that they removed the clip and "it simply occurred." In the affidavit, it is stated that because no exit wound was discovered, "the bullet remains in the skull of the victim."

The investigation states that Vargas "routinely" allows one of the minors to use his gun, which he leaves "visible and unlocked on a top shelf," because he "trusts" them.

Teenager Aaliyah Salazar, 14, was named as the victim by KUSA-TV. She "had just become a teenager and [was] so excited to attend her freshman year of high school," as her obituary puts it.

Aaliyah had a number of pets, including three dogs, a cat, a turtle, and a few hamsters, for which she was "the proud mama." She "knew she was going to be famous one day" because of her interest in creating TikTok videos

KUSA report.s that some of Aaliyah's relatives think the gunshot "was on purpose."

The Colorado State Attorney's Office is apparently in charge of the investigation.

A prison administrator, age 37, was arrested and charged with having a sexual relationship with an inmate.

The Racine County Sheriff's Office received information concerning a possible relationship between Racine Correctional Institute supervisor Jacqueline Heidt and an inmate on August 24, according to a press release.

It has been reported that investigators seized Heidt's cellphone and uncovered evidence, including photos and messages, to back up the accusations.

According to the Sheriff's Office, the claimed romance started in April and lasted until August 4. The detainee allegedly informed investigators that they had sex in Heidt's office several times a week. According to the Sheriff's Office, the two engaged in "sexual intercourse at least 20 times, but less than 40 times."

As well as having sexual relations through intercourse, the two allegedly engaged in other sexual activities.

The Sheriff's Office claims that Heidt was interviewed on August 25 but rejected the allegations. After being shown the phone evidence, the Sheriff's office said she "changed her manner and stopped responding questions."

Reportedly, Heidt was taken into custody and charged with second-degree sexual assault by correctional employees, misconduct in public service, and delivery of illicit materials to a prisoner. She has a bond set at slightly over $1.1 million and is still being held in the Racine County Jail.

A 49-year-old man was given a 35-year prison term for his persistent sexual assault of two minors.

The Collin County District Attorney's Office alleges that Mark Jones, who had unrestricted access to two children, aged 10 and 14, for a number of years, sexually molested them. Apparently, the victim penned a letter to God describing the abuse, and one of her parents later discovered the letter and informed the authorities.

The District Attorney's Office claims that the note's discovery led to the identification of a second young victim.

It has been stated that both youngsters were interviewed by authorities and disclosed the existence of abuse.

The District Attorney's Office stated on August 29 that Jones was sentenced to 35 years in jail without parole for his long history of child sexual abuse.

Greg Willis, the district attorney for Collin County, made the following statement: "When even one child is victimized by a sexual predator over a long period of time, it is a tragedy for the entire community. It's unthinkable that this pervert sexually harmed not one but two young children."

A grandpa is believed to have punched his daughter's fiancé after he exposed himself to the child, who was then 5 years old, at their home.

After reportedly exposing himself to a 5-year-old girl, a 22-year-old man was arrested last week on multiple offenses, including attempted rape.

Attempted rape of a child, indecent assault, unlawful contact with a juvenile, corruption of minors, and indecent exposure were among the charges against Aaron Cunagin, who was detained on August 24 by police from the Middletown Borough Police Department at the Pineford Apartments.

His bond was set at $150,000 and he was put into the Dauphin County Prison.

Penn Live reports that Cunagin and the girl were in the girl's bedroom/playroom at the time of the alleged incident. There are rumors that the girl's grandfather felt it strange to see his granddaughter sitting on Cunagin's lap, but he nonetheless left the room. When the victim's grandfather returned to check on him and Cunagin, he allegedly found Cunagin with his pants down and his genitalia exposed.

It was also said that the girl was barefoot and pantless.

It has been stated that the grandfather yelled, punched, and phoned the police on Cunagin.

Police say Cunagin told them, "Simply, the thought occurred to me. I went in and out of arguments with myself. Feelings of numbness pervaded me. I sat there thinking while holding it."

When questioned further about the nature of "it," he allegedly revealed that he was referring to his privates.

According to the Centre Daily Times, which also relies on court documents, Cunagin is accused of saying that he was "fighting himself whether or not to have sex with the victim."

The Centre Daily Times reports that the girl said this happened four other times, although Cunagin denied it. He reportedly proposed to the granddaughter of his late father.

440: Naked Dating Extortion Busted | True Crime Daily Brief

2m · Published 04 Sep 14:00
A 30-year-old man thought he was meeting someone from a dating app when he was kidnapped, extorted, and forced to strip naked.

A man called the Pierce County Sheriff's Office on Saturday, Aug. 20, to report he had been kidnapped and robbed, according to a statement. He allegedly stated that he went to an apartment in Parkland to meet with a woman he met on the dating app Plenty of Fish, and the woman "presented herself as being similar in age to the victim."

After about five minutes, a man allegedly walked into the room, pointed a gun at the victim, and "ordered the victim to remove his clothes and give the suspect his money."

The female suspect allegedly began photographing the naked victim. The two allegedly instructed the victim to transfer $6,000 via a cash app, but the transaction was rejected because it was flagged as a potential fraudulent charge. The suspects, on the other hand, persisted.

"The suspects made the victim attempt numerous other transactions via various apps and even posed as the victim over the phone to try to get an account unlocked," according to the statement.

After three hours, the male and female suspects allegedly "threatened to send the nude photos to everyone on the victim's contact list if he told anyone what happened."

The victim approached authorities and collaborated with them to identify the two suspects.

The following day, on Aug. 21, Pierce County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a domestic violence assault call at the same address provided by the dating app victim from his incident. Deputies reportedly recognized the male suspect, and as they attempted to handcuff him, he allegedly reached into his pocket for a gun. He was apprehended before he could get the weapon.

The man allegedly broke the door panel inside the patrol car while attempting to flee after moving the handcuffs to the front of his body. He is also said to have broken the seatbelt fastener.

The male suspect was booked into the Pierce County Jail for first-degree robbery, kidnapping, extortion, unlawful possession of a firearm, and malicious mischief. His bail is set at $125,000 dollars.

The female suspect, who is reportedly 19 years old, was arrested and charged with robbery, kidnapping, and extortion, with bail set at $50,000.

When it comes to online dating, the Pierce County Sheriff's Office advises residents to "do your research and trust your instincts."
