Episode 7: How to Set Your Priorities and Get Things Done Now

22m · Published 09 Sep 04:00

Hey, friends! I hope you’re excited because we are about to get real this week.

Yep. In today’s podcast, we are talking about all things priorities.

And more specifically, we are going to learn how to break through overwhelm, get our priorities straight, and start taking action.

Truth be told, this podcast was inspired by my own need for a refresher on the topic.

In short, I was having a hard time keeping my biggest priorities front and center.

With the school year officially started, I found my schedule much fuller than it has been over the summer (big surprise…) and I was telling myself that there is “too much to do.”

And what’s more, I was constantly looping the unhelpful thought that “there is simply not enough time in the day.”

Have you ever felt that way? Do you ever feel like there’s too much to do and not enough time to do it?

HOW TO SET YOUR PRIORITIES AND GET THINGS DONE

If so, first of all, know that you’re not alone.

And second of all, I challenge you to try on this incredibly powerful thought…

There is always enough time for what’s most important to you.

Really, it’s true.

There is always enough time for your top priorities.

Of course, the real secret is learning how to identify which priorities should be your top priorities, right?

And that is exactly what we explore in today’s podcast.

IN THIS EPISODE, YOU WILL DISCOVER…

  • How you can get your priorities straight.
  • How to focus on what’s most important in your daily life.
  • Strategies to start taking action today.

Episode 6: The Strategy You Need to Keep Good Habits

25m · Published 02 Sep 04:00

In this week's podcast, we are talking about all things habits.

Now, this episode was inspired by a quick challenge that I shared a few weeks ago on my Instagram stories.

I challenged everyone to establish one tiny habit that they could do in 5 minutes or less.

What's more, they had to commit to that habit every day for 7 days.

Now it’s true, the act itself might seem small.

Nevertheless, the sheer practice of repetition, as well as your commitment to yourself, has an incredibly powerful impact on helping you reach your goals and strengthen your willpower.

So with that in mind, I thought we would use today’s podcast to dive further into all things habits.

Sound good?

Great!

IN THIS EPISODE, YOU WILL DISCOVER…

  • Why it's helpful to establish good habits.
  • How small habits help you build momentum toward your bigger goals.
  • Different components that make a healthy habit.
  • Habit-forming strategies that you can implement today.

Episode 5: How to Make a Decision With Confidence

21m · Published 26 Aug 04:00

In today's podcast, we are diving into the important topic of decision making, which is something you incredible listeners ask me about quite often.

You see, we all face the challenge of constant decision making.

In fact, we make about 35,000 remotely conscious decisions each day, with over 225 decisions being about food alone.

Seriously – that’s a lot of decisions.

And I don’t know about you, but with all of those decisions adding up throughout the day, the very real factor of decision fatigue starts sinking in.

Seriously, just consider all of the decisions you've made before beginning your workday today. The number is staggering.

So what can we do about this?

How can we start making decisions easier and avoid decision fatigue?

Well, that’s exactly what we’re going to talk about today.

In this episode, you will learn...

  • Why it’s important to make decisions.
  • The challenge of having too many options.
  • Why so many of us struggle to make decisions.
  • How to make decisions with confidence.

Episode 4: Here's Why You Need Self-Care Every Day

17m · Published 19 Aug 04:00

Alright, lady. It’s time for some real talk.

Be honest - do you make self-care a regular part of your routine?

Or, is self-care something you strive to include in your life, but you can’t seem to find the time?

Perhaps making time for self-care feels too “selfish” or “self-indulgent” when you have a family, job, friends, and other responsibilities on your plate.

Am I close?

Here's Why You Need Self-Care Every Day

While we might practice self-care every once in a while, I think many of us either don’t have the time, feel guilty about “indulging ourselves,” or both.

We pack our schedules with work, meetings, volunteering, and after-school activities. And if we miraculously find a moment of “downtime,” we feel guilty for spending it on ourselves.

And while this is an all-too-familiar situation for many of us, that does not make it okay. In fact, it’s a problem.

So in today’s podcast, I’m here to help us take a step in the right direction and start incorporating self-care in our lives every day

Yes, you read that right. Daily self-care.

Tune in now and learn how!

In this episode, you will discover…

  • The importance of daily self-care
  • My strategy for practicing self-care every day
  • My approach to daily self-care
  • How you can incorporate self-care in your routine every day
  • This week’s quote of the week all about self-care

Episode 2: How to Organize Your To-Do List With Ease

20m · Published 10 Aug 01:01

Well, friend, we’re well into August.

Back to school is in the air. The last few weeks of vacation are coming to a close. And work schedules are picking up steam.

In short, things are about to get busy.

In today’s podcast, I’m helping us get ahead of the game by diving into all things organization.

That way, when things do get busy, we’ll have our ducks in a row and we can take everything in stride.

And we are going to do this today by focusing specifically on our to-do list.

We talked a little bit about the importance of having a to-do list in the last episode. So many people simply rely on their brainpower to remember the different tasks they need to complete.

And while this might be okay for certain situations, studies have shown that for the majority of us, our memories struggle to remember more than three things at once.

So if you have more than three things to do at any given time – and since you’re listening to this podcast, I’m guessing that you do – then it would certainly benefit you to not only maintain a to-do list but also to keep it organized.

So that’s exactly what we’re going to talk about today.

How to create and maintain an organized to-do list.

IN THIS EPISODE, YOU WILL DISCOVER…

  • How organizing your to-do list will help you stay on top of your game
  • The best way to organize your to-do list
  • How to avoid to-do list overwhelm
  • This week’s quote of the week all about organization
