About our guest:
Will’s life’s work can be summed up with one simple phrase: Propelling people’s growth to produce meaningful new outcomes. Nothing energizes him like helping someone clarify a problem and find their way to solving it.

He’s fulfilled this calling on a human-to-human level as a teacher, trainer, coach, and father. At the systems level, he’s served as a president, CFO, strategist, and founder. Will says his greatest strength is as a generalist. “I am highly adaptable and listen carefully to help people get their arms around a challenge, break it into bite-size pieces, then set to work with courage and a good plan,” he explained.

As a preacher’s kid, Will grew up in a household where our inevitable death was a regular conversation topic, so planning for it was a no-brainer. Since the subject is so comfortable for him, he can bring a down-to-earth, straightforward approach to his work with clients and end of life educators.

Will’s mission is to recenter the larger cultural conversation around death to make it more pragmatic, and something we prepared for in advance like other major life events. “When it comes to end of life education and planning, the need is great, but follow-through is sparse,” he said. “Clients count on me to bring my compassionate side as a strong listener, as well as my detail-oriented, strategic side to get the job done.”

Rachel Fairweather & Meghan Mari are the dynamic co-founders and directors of Jing Advanced Massage Training (www.jingmassage.com), a UK based company providing degree level hands on and online training for all who are passionate about massage. Both Rachel and Meghan have degrees in Psychology and have trained extensively in Eastern and Western bodywork. Rachel holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Social Work. an AOS in Massage Therapy and is an licensed massage therapist. Meghan is a New York Licensed massage therapist, Certified Holistic Health Educator, and holds a Masters in International Law.

Rachel and Meghan are also authors of “Massage Fusion: The Jing method for the treatment of chronic pain” published by Handspring in 2015.

Rachel and Meghan have over 30 years combined experience in the industry working as advanced therapists and trainers, first in New York and now throughout the UK. Due to their extensive experience, undeniable passion and intense dedication, Rachel and Meghan are sought after international guest lecturers, write regularly for professional trade magazines, and together have twice received awards for outstanding achievement in their field

Dr. Marisa Allison graduated with her Ph.D. in Public and Applied Sociology from George Mason University in December 2022. While working on her doctoral degree, Marisa served as the Research Director with the New Faculty Majority Foundation, a grassroots research and advocacy non-profit focused on improving the working conditions for contingent faculty in higher education. With a strong commitment to organic public sociology, action research, and liberatory higher education, Marisa entered into the emerging field of critical university studies after several years in the higher education movement arena where her scholarship and activism has focused on academic labor conditions, gendered work, student debt, and corporate influence in higher education. Marisa has been involved in the academic labor movement in the U.S. for the last 13 years, working with unions and campus organizers to better labor conditions on college and university campuses.

About Our Guest:
Business Owner, Educator, Massage Therapist, Scuba Diver, Grandma Su Bibik is Founder & CEO of Institute for Massage Education, previously an aspect of Kalamazoo Center for the Healing Arts (KCHA). Su and her husband began the Center in 1986 out of their home. It quickly grew to meet the demands for professional, effective massage therapy and alternative modalities. Su’s background teaching math in high school and college naturally led to creating a program to train massage therapists. She has an uncanny ability to convey otherwise difficult information in a fun and meaningful fashion. Most recently she completed her certification training and is a Certified Open Water Scuba Diver and did her first dive trip to Dominica to celebrate her 70th Birthday.

Arika Patneaude is a licensed independent clinical social worker and ethnic minority mental health specialist, who has worked extensively in social services since 1992. The focus of her work includes: adult mental health; homeless housing services; and pediatric medical social work, with a focus on solid organ transplant, grief and bereavement, and pediatric palliative care.
Bridget Sumser is a social worker with the Palliative Care Program for adults. She focuses on the whole person and the family, addressing each patient's social and emotional well-being through counseling, care planning and assistance with navigating the health care system.
