A mind for sales with mark hunter on the global sales leader podcast episode 47 - with Jason Cooper

36m · Published 09 May 23:33

Im talking with Mark Hunter on my podcast, and we discuss in great detail what it takes to be a top performer in sales and what mindset you need to achieve the highs and lows.

Why are you in sales? This message still sits in Mark's brain as he sits down with his mentor and asks an important question to change how you sit and think.  Building effective relationships are core to every sale. Once you build this, everything changes.

Sales are all about having a mind; sales isn't a step by step process. It's an emotion.

The most challenging thing you can ever do is to master your mind; you have to believe in the outcome you make. But, once you focus on the development and know that you can help people find what they want, everything changes what you do.  There is no reason to think that your mind isn’t capable of doing amazing things.

Incredibly, your mind could ever tell you, “You can’t do this. You can’t do this.” But, unfortunately, that’s what most average salespeople hear.  However, the top-performing salesperson has a mindset that says, “I can find a way to do this.” Is your own mindset in that place? How does your mind measure up to these seven truths?   TRUST is the currency of business - How do I demonstrate this - authenticity and focused on you. all I want to do is help you.?

Determination and Grit How to succeed with Devon harries on the episode 46 on global sales leader

38m · Published 03 May 02:31

Devon Harris is an athlete, a member of the first Jamaican bobsleigh team, a captain of the 1992 and 1998 teams, and a three-time Olympian. Before joining the Jamaican Defence Force, Devon Harris grew up in a modest neighbourhood in Kingston, Jamaica, and graduated from the Royal Military Academy at Sandhurst, England. Even though his dream to make it in the sport seemed like a pipe dream, Harris found a way to make it happen through drive and determination.

His sports accomplishments with the Jamaican bobsleigh team inspired the "Cool Runnings" blockbuster Disney film. Devon's trademark courage has made him a successful international motivational speaker. Around the world, Devon Harris spreads his "Keep on pushing" philosophy, which has helped professionals from multiple Fortune 100 companies in various industries, as well as non-profit organisations, schools and universities. Ideal personal responsibility for these uncontrollable experiences of you deciding how you're going to deal with things and pick yourself a result is to think clearly even understeer stress.

This is a thing you have to master as it can take time, but it's definitely worth doing.

Look at someone who inspires you, and if they have done it, so why cant you? That's a piece of great advice once we have that in our heads.

In sales, persistence and urgency are critical to our success, but we also need to learn from our mistakes, keep learning and growing, and go build results.

Part of the thing is that we are making progress and celebrating small wins along the way so that we know we've travelled the path to the best we can beWith everyone I speak to and including myself, I do work. I love to do this, but it does take work and massive effort to do what we love to do to get into our FLOW states. So IF HE CAN'T DO IT, SO CAN I; find someone that inspires you.  Find your passion, work hard, visualise it bring your heart to it and have that staying power resilience - KEEP ON PUSHING. Sales Philosophy with Mike Bosworth The Global Sales Leader Episode 45

52m · Published 22 Feb 00:00

We are talking about what led to the invention of the consultative selling process that helped others companies copy the approach. Suppose we redefine selling as "facilitating the buying process". In that case, we can share a common objective with marketing people and eliminate the undesirable behaviours associated with salespeople - high pressure, product pushing regardless of buyer need, etc.

People love to buy but hate to feel "sold". Breakthroughs in neuroscience have determined that people don't make decisions solely based on logic; in fact, emotions play the dominant role in most decision-making processes.

What Great Salespeople Do gives you the tools and techniques to influence change and win more sales.   Build better relationships and sell more effectively with a powerful sales story. "Throughout our careers, we have been trained to ask diagnostic questions, deliver value props, and conduct ROI studies. It usually doesn't work; in the best case, we can argue with the customer about numbers - purely a left-brain exercise that turns buyers off. This book explains a better way." (John Burke, group vice president, Oracle Corporation). "Forget music; a great story has the charm to soothe the savage beast and win over the most challenging customer. And one of the best guides in crafting it, feeling it, and telling it is

What Great Salespeople Do. A must-read for anyone seeking to influence another human being." (Mark Goulston, MD, author of the number one international bestseller Listen: Discover the Secret to Getting Through to Absolutely Anyone)

• Relax a buyer's scepticism while activating the part of their brain where trust is formed and connections are forged • Use the power of story to influence buyers to change • Make your ideas, beliefs, and experiences "storable" using a proven story structure •

Build a personal inventory of stories to use throughout your sales cycle • Tell your stories with authenticity and a genuine passion • Use empathic listening to get others to reveal themselves • Incorporate storytelling and empathic listening to achieve collaborative conversations with buyers.

What is the ONE thing you are continuously selling, no matter your industry or business?

What are the four words you can use in the first minute of your sales presentation to create immediate, unbreakable rapport and trust?

What is the first thing about your prospect you must focus on and consider if you want to skyrocket your sales?

What are "counterexamples", and how can you use them to erase any objection easily subconsciously?

Show up as yourself, sales conversations with Donnie Boivin Global sales leader episode 41

41m · Published 21 Dec 01:00

Jason Is talking with Donnie Boivin, Marine Corp veteran and owner of his profitable Success Champions business; you better be ready for the badassery that is Donnie Boivin.

Fresh out of the Marine Corps, Donnie learned what it took to be successful in sales, business, and life over two incredible decades of experience. Then, at the age of 40, he realized he'd been living other people's dreams and began chasing his own.

"I took the biggest risk in my life and opened up my own business!"

Donnie went from knowing nothing about business and being on the brink of failure to launching his world-renowned Success Champions podcast, interviewing influencers in the industry and then building a company that's now kicking ass and taking names.

When people meet you, the real you and show up as yourself, people will resonate more with you than a shinny version of yourself that doesn't exist in anyone.

Running a business can be challenging, but it takes that resistance and shows you what you need to do to connect more with people and your customers. So, for example, our conversations with our clients now have to be more accurate - every discussion with your clients has to get to either a yes or no, but we should have e to have a close the clients have to close themselves.

Donnie and Jason have a real down to earth conversation about showing up and giving much more about conversational business and sales strategies to enable others to get what they want.

This is a fun and exciting conversation which you will love.   What can you teach people and what value you can give others its amazing how many people you can reach.

Tom Ziglar, ten leadership virtues for coaching employees through immense change global sales leader episode 39

32m · Published 11 Dec 16:11

Jason Cooper with be talking with Tom Ziglar about his new book and much more.  With the world changing so rapidly, many leaders struggle to find new ways to make a significant and positive impact on their team.

The key, says Tom Ziglar, is to consistently bring out the best in everyone by focusing on ten core virtues: kindness, humility, respect, persistence, selflessness, encouragement, positive expectations, self-control, firmness, and hope.

Delivering cutting-edge new research, wisdom gleaned from experience, and poignant insights from his work at Zig Ziglar Corp, Tom Ziglar identifies the communication styles that will keep everyone on the same page, regardless of their working environment. He also emphasizes the importance of closing the "empathy gap" between management and staff in order to create a more connected team that operates to its fullest potential--and how developing each team member's unique dreams, goals, and abilities sets up the company for success.

In 10 Leadership Virtues for Disruptive Times, Ziglar shows why "coach leadership," instead of management leadership, is the best way to lead through immense change and challenge. It is essential guidance for leaders who want to coach their teams through inevitable periods of disruption with the goal of helping them thrive at home and at work.
