18m · Published 30 Dec 04:00

In this episode we talk about how labels limit us, and often how once we identify a label towards ourselves, there is a subtle obligation to adhere to that label indefinitely.

we have to let parts of ourselves die in order to evolve deeper into our existence. There is not one destination to reach, but sometimes strictly adhering to a label can limit this.

#9: Starting And Maintaining Growth

31m · Published 19 Oct 01:00

Hormones like cortisol and adrenaline are addicting. Why do we seek to feel stressed? Why do the dynamic of our friendships/relationships involve inducing others to accompany us down this emotional-addiction path?

What can we do to build trust in our ability to keep pushing forward? How do we keep going at what we started? What we KNOW we want.

#7: Loneliness

30m · Published 28 Sep 23:00

In this episode, we talk loneliness. Usually through loneliness, we isolate ourselves from others or we suppress the underlying reasons of why we feel lonely to begin with.

But, what if we took being alone as a reflection of us outgrowing our current surroundings? whether it be losing long-term friends, growing as an individual, trying to fill the void through people we actually don’t really care about (or who don’t care about us), loneliness can surface in many ways.

What if we trusted that this time being alone can actually benefit us?

#4: Is It Love, or Control? + Traits of a Controlling Partner

26m · Published 07 Sep 01:00

In this episode, we talk determining whether or not our partners actions (or actions we take on our partner) are coming from a place of genuine love, or control.

Relationship characteristics portrayed on social media are: spending excessive time together, having the person cut ties with friends of the opposite gender, codependency (your life revolves around your partner), and more.

Controlling traits are normalized and even put out as comedic content. Truth is, shit can be pretty funny sometimes, and we can laugh, but let's just be aware of the long term damage it can have if we replicate what's so commonly seen on social media.

We can all capable of adopting controlling behaviors, especially in monogamous relationships. If you'd like to catch onto some of these behaviors your partner, or even you, may be having, tune into the podcast.
