Winnie is a lover of science and spirituality, and her vision is for all medicine to join as One. She is a trauma-informed licensed acupuncturist, teacher, shadow worker, Reiki, and Shamanic Tao healer, as well as a professor in acupuncture at Alhambra Medical University. She is passionate about empowering people with chronic pain to step into their source power to heal themselves. Winnie’s clients often have anxiety and depression. They often feel stuck in their physical or emotional pain. She believes the key to healing is to stand powerfully in our authenticity. When we do the shadow work to integrate our darkness with our light, we turn our wounds into power. We shift from being a victim to being the author of our lives. 
In her book “Honoring Darkness” that she co-authored with Ji W. Choi, doctoral candidate in psychology, they searched deep into their traumas and made lemonade out of the lemons. As they navigated the darkness of grief, anger, suppression, fear, unworthiness, defensiveness, lack mentality, taking everyone for granted, manipulation and shame, they gained trust and purpose.

​I have been teaching Group Fitness for 27 years and Personal Training for 16 years. My experience has kept me humble and authentic, and I enjoy keeping it real and relating to others. You can expect to hear about my love of peanut butter and wine, while we are doing burpees. To me, life is about balance and is meant to be enjoyed to its fullest.

"I started off as the usual “sports guy” in school. I did every sport under the sun. Triathlons, rowing, polo, rugby, even bodybuilding shows. But as I start to run a business and slowly build a company with over 15 staff in my mid-20s I quickly noticed how much stress and mental exhaustion affected your body physically. Running a fitness business, I was doing all the “right” things. I was exercising, I was eating well, yet I noticed my energy getting worse and worse. I got to the point where I was coaching over 150 clients with debilitating levels of chronic fatigue getting in the way of every area of my life without getting any answers from doctors or “professionals” in this space.
