006: How Comparison Can Actually Be Beneficial For Your Growth

27m · Published 25 Sep 12:00
Comparison. The root of all evil or a way to actually help you reach the goal you’ve been dreaming about? I’ve been taking Slay With Sam’s Masterclass (@SlayWithSam on Instagram) and in a recent masterclass conversation she talked with us about confidence. Sam brought up a really good point when she said, and I’m paraphrasing here, that the problem isn’t that we compare ourselves, the problem is HOW we compare ourselves. This truth really resonated with me. All this time, I’ve been viewing comparison as this evil that has been keeping me from achieving my goals. And yet, as I shift my mindset about the word, here’s how I believe comparison can actually be beneficial for your growth. Check out Sam’s website, www.SlayWithSam.com to learn more about her masterclasses. Also, be sure to check out my friend Kaitlin Casso’s podcast, https://anchor.fm/kaitlyn-casso on how to get out of your comfort zone and do the things you’ve always wanted to do! --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/foundfamily/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/foundfamily/support

004: Why I Decided To Pause My Instagram

26m · Published 11 Sep 12:00
Instagram stresses me out. It’s a platform that used to bring me joy and now it just fuels my OCD. In this episode I talk about the reasons why I made this decision. Some of them include, feeling more stressed out about the likes and comments, becoming way too concerned about the number of followers I had (I knew I had to reach to 10k just to get the SWIPE UP feature!), and never knowing how and/or when to “turn it off” and give myself a break. Click below to listen... maybe you can relate, or maybe, just maybe, you’ll realize that you need to give Instagram a break, too. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/foundfamily/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/foundfamily/support

003: Shifting Your Mindset (after a job loss)

17m · Published 04 Sep 12:00
Loosing your job sucks. It does. There’s no other way to say it. I fell into a dark depression because not only did I lose my job, but I lost a sense of direction. Although I knew I didn’t want to be doing the type of work I was doing, I also didn’t know what my next step was. So I panicked and the only way to stop the panics was to shift my mindset. In this episode, I talk about the mindset shifts that helped me! --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/foundfamily/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/foundfamily/support
